Société Nationale Des Beaux-Arts
Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (SNBA; ; en, National Society of Fine Arts) was the term under which two groups of French artists united, the first for some exhibitions in the early 1860s, the second since 1890 for annual exhibitions. 1862 Established in 1862 by the painter and gallery owner Louis Martinet and the writer Théophile Gautier, the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts was first chaired by Gautier, with the painter Aimé Millet as deputy chairman. The committee was composed of the painters Eugène Delacroix, Carrier-Belleuse, and Puvis de Chavannes, and among the exhibitors were Léon Bonnat, Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Charles-François Daubigny, Gustave Doré, and Édouard Manet. Suzanne Valadon
Suzanne Valadon (23 September 18657 April 1938) was a French painter who was born Marie-Clémentine Valadon at Bessines-sur-Gartempe, Haute-Vienne, France. In 1894, Valadon became the first woman painter admitted to the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. She was also the mother of painter Maurice Utrillo. Valadon spent nearly 40 years of her life as an artist. The subjects of her drawings and paintings, such as '' Joy of Life'' (1911), included mostly female nudes, portraits of women, still lifes, and landscapes. She never attended the academy and was never confined within a tradition. She was a model for many renowned artists. , styled as Takanori Oguiss, was a Japanese figurative painter who lived and worked most of his life in France. He is known by his cityscape paintings. Life and career Born in Inazawa, Takanori Ogisu was the son of a landowner in the Nagoya region. Ogisu went to Tokyo in 1920 to become a painter. He studied at the Kawabata painting school (川端 画 学校, Kawabata Gagakkō) under Fujishima Takeji, then went to the Tokyo School of Fine Arts (precursor of Tōkyō Geijutsu Daigaku), where he graduated in 1929. In the same year the painter Yuzo Saeki , who had come back from France, visited Ogisu together with Takeo Yamaguchi and encouraged them to study in France.
