Joe May
Joe May (born Joseph Otto Mandl; 7 November 1880 – 29 April 1954) was an Austrian film director and film producer and one of the pioneers of German cinema. Biography After studying in Berlin and a variety of odd jobs, he began his career as a stage director of operettas in Hamburg. In 1902 he had married the actress Mia May (born Hermine Pfleger) and took his stage name from hers. Continental-Kunstfilm As Joe May, he made ten films for Continental-Kunstfilm GmbH in Berlin; the first, ''In der Tiefe des Schachtes (In the Depths of the Pit)'' was released in November 1912, followed by ''Vorglühen des Balkanbrandes (The Balkan Traitors)'' (starring Ernst Reicher). Frances Robinson (actress)
Frances Robinson (born Marion Frances Ladd; April 26, 1916 – August 16, 1971) was an American actress. Early life Robinson was born Marion Frances Ladd in the Fort Wadsworth section of Staten Island, New York, on April 26, 1916. Her father was U. S. Army Major James A. Ladd. At age 5, Robinson portrayed Little Henrietta in the silent film ''Orphans of the Storm'' (1921). Before acting in films as an adult, she was a model for the agency operated by John Robert Powers. Career Her acting roles included a nurse in ''The Invisible Man Returns'' (1940) and Marcia in the 1941 version of ''Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941 film), Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde''. James Addison Baker III (born April 28, 1930) is an American attorney, diplomat and statesman. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 10th White House Chief of Staff and 67th United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Ronald Reagan and the 61st U.S. Secretary of State before returning as the 16th White House Chief of Staff under President George H. Edward DeKalb Acuff (June 3, 1903 – December 17, 1956) was an American stage and film actor. He frequently was cast as a droll comic relief, in the support of the star. George Lynn (actor)
Peter George Lynn (January 28, 1906 – December 3, 1967) was an American actor and writer. Early life Lynn was born January 28, 1906, in Cumberland, Maryland. He graduated from Washington and Lee University and worked as a pilot for Curtiss-Wright before he became an actor. Career Lynn acted in about 30 plays at the Pasadena Playhouse. He appeared in films such as ''Sinner Take All'' (1936), the MGM Academy Award nominated short ''Torture Money'' (1937), ''The Great Dictator'' (1940), and ''To Be or Not to Be'' (1942). Michael Mark (born Morris Schulman; 15 March 1886 – 3 February 1975) was a Russian-born American film actor. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1928 and 1969. Biography Born in 1886 in Mogilev, Russian Empire (now Belarus), he immigrated to the United States in 1910. During the 1930s and 1940s, he was used by Universal Studios in minor roles for several Frankenstein movies, although he played different parts in each of them. He may perhaps best-remembered, if not by name, as the desperate father of the killed girl in ''Frankenstein'' (1931) with Boris Karloff. Michael Mark died in Los Angeles, California, aged 88, in 1975. Hugh Milburn Stone (July 5, 1904 – June 12, 1980) was an American actor, best known for his role as "Doc" (Dr. Galen Adams) on the CBS Western series ''Gunsmoke''. Frank Reicher (born Franz Reicher; December 2, 1875 – January 19, 1965) was a German-born American actor, director and producer.
