Sociedade Esportiva do Gama, commonly referred to as Gama, is a Brazilian professional club based in Gama, Distrito Federal founded on 15 November 1975. It competes in the Campeonato Brasiliense, the top flight of the Distrito Federal state football league. Gama is the second-best ranked team from the Federal District in CBF's national club ranking, behind bitter rivals Brasiliense. History Until the early 1970s, the city of Gama was known only to its amateur teams. This movement has grown more and more the city's desire to have its first professional football club. Founded in 1975 by Hermínio Ferreira Neves, the Sociedade Esporte do Gama was the first professional team in the city. The founder was president of the amateur team Minas Atlético Clube. Bezerrão
Estádio Walmir Campelo Bezerra, usually known as Bezerrão, is a Brazilian football stadium, located at administrative region of Gama, in the Distrito Federal. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. Bezerrão is owned by the Government of the Distrito Federal and it is the stadium where Sociedade Esportiva do Gama sometimes plays its home matches. The stadium is named after Antônio Walmir Campelo Bezerra, who was the regional administrator of Gama during the stadium construction. History In 1977, the works on Bezerrão were completed. Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. It is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. Although not having been played annually since its founding in 1971, the competition format has changed almost every season. The football (soccer) Campeonato Brasileiro Série B 1998, the second level of Brazilian National League, was played from August 2 to December 20, 1998. The competition had 24 clubs and two of them were promoted to Série A and six were relegated to Série C. The competition was won by Gama. Gama finished the final phase group with the most points, and was declared 1999 Brazilian Série B champions, claiming the promotion to the 1999 Série A along with Botafogo-SP, the runners-up. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Goiânia Esporte Clube, or Goiânia as they are usually called, are a Brazilian football team from Goiânia in Goiás state, founded on July 5, 1938.
