Socialist Workers' Party Of Finland
Socialist Workers' Party of Finland ( fi, Suomen Sosialistinen Työväenpuolue, SSTP) was a Finnish political party in the early 1920s. The SSTP consisted of radical leftists who split from the Social Democratic Party of Finland after the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The banned Communist Party of Finland (SKP) was the main force behind the party but other socialists were also involved. The SSTP was banned in 1923 and its leading members, including 27 members of parliament, were jailed. The party was succeeded by the Socialist Electoral Organisation of Workers and Smallholders (1924–1930). The SSTP was established on 13 May 1920 at the Helsinki Workers' House. The founding congress was attended by 82 delegates, representing 42 different organisations. The decision to found a new party was made after the left lost the battle inside the SDP. Finnish Trade Union Federation ( fi, Suomen Ammattijärjestö, SAJ, sv, Finlands Landsorganisation, FLO) was the first central organisation of trade unions in Finland, established in 1907. It was a part of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP), all union members were also party members. Albert Kallio
Albert Viktor Kallio (20 August 188417 August 1945) was a Finnish politician and member of the Parliament of Finland, the national legislature. A member of the Socialist Workers' Party, he represented Uusimaa between September 1922 and October 1923. Kallio was born on 20 August 1884 in Nurmijärvi and spent six years in the US as a youth. He was an interpreter and master spinner at a weaving factory in Hyvinkää from 1904 to 1906. He was a janitor at a workers' house in Hyvinkää (1906-1912) and a master spinner at a spinning and weaving factory in Viljamaa, Orimattila (1912-1918).
