Social Christian Party (Brazil)
The Social Christian Party ( pt, Partido Social Cristão, PSC) is a Christian-conservative political party in Brazil. In the 2018 election, the party elected 2 Governors, 1 Senator, 9 Federal Deputies and 30 State Deputies. History The party was founded in 1985, as a Christian democratic party. The party supported Fernando Collor de Mello in the presidential election of 1989, and in 1990, the party won first place in the state election for Alagoas, the home state of then-President Collor. However, from 1994, the party declined: its candidates repeatedly lost votes, surpassing only those from far-left parties, who originated from rebel wings of the Workers Party without popular support. The PSC did not elect more than 3 representatives in the three subsequent elections. Incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro is a former member of the party. He joined the party in March 2016 to run for president in 2018. With that analysts pointed out that the party was in an increasingly right- ...

Social Christian Party (Ecuador)
The Social Christian Party ( es, Partido Social Cristiano; PSC) is a centre-right political party in Ecuador. The party was founded in 1951 under the name of Social Christian Movement (''Movimiento Social Cristiano'') by Camilo Ponce Enríquez, who was Ecuador's president from 1956 to 1960, and Sixto Durán Ballén. It was initially focused on Quito. Since the 1980s, however, the party's popularity is more present on the coastal areas, particularly around Ecuador's economic center and most populous city, Guayaquil, and in coastal provinces, such as Guayas, El Oro, Los Rios, and Manabi, which constitute about half of the country's population. However, as a sign of deep regional divide on politics, the party has little power in the Andean region. Thus, while holding all major positions in Guayas and Guayaquil, the PSC has not held the presidential office since the presidency of León Febres Cordero (1984–88). In 1978, the party's centrist and leftist wing split-off to for ...

Social Christian Party (Italy)
The Social Christian Party ( it, Partito Cristiano Sociale) was a political party founded and led by the Italian philosopher and librarian of the Vatican Library Gerardo Bruni. History Born at the beginning as a movement of Christians during the Resistance, partisans participated with other groups in their initial meetings to help form Christian Democracy. The founder, however, occurred an irremediable conflict between Bruni and other groups and Christian Democrats, who he felt were too moderate and supportive of capitalism, and they separated. The movement was transformed into a party for elections for the Constituent Assembly on June 2, 1946. The party supported the establishment of a Republic, used its own symbol (formed by a book and a shovel over a cross), collected 51,088 votes - the equivalent of 0.22% nationally - and elected a representative, Gerard Bruni. The manifesto of 1946 outlined the party's politics as those of Christian socialism, putting stakes very clear an ...
