''Soccer AM'' is a British association football, football-based comedy/talk show, produced by Sky Sports. First broadcast in 1995, the programme currently airs on Sky Showcase, Sky Sports, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports, Sky Sports Football at 10.30am on Saturdays during the football season. As of 2010, it airs on a short broadcast delay in order to edit bad language and/or inappropriate content from guests. Its best-known presenters were Helen Chamberlain, who presented the show for 22 years, and Tim Lovejoy, who hosted from 1996 to 2007. As of 2019, its current presenters are John Fendley and ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard. Russell "Russ" Williams (born 21 January 1962) is an English radio DJ from Blackpool, primarily known for his long-running shows on Virgin Radio (from 1993), and 2008 to 2016 on Absolute Radio, the re-launched version of Virgin Radio. Early life Williams trained at London's National Broadcasting School in Programming and Journalism. Radio career After his training, Williams landed a journalist job at Brighton's Southern Sound including presenting weekend Breakfast, which then led to a presenting job at Radio Mercury in Sussex, presenting a chart show every Sunday from 3–5pm. Williams then moved to Finland where he presented his own show on Helsinki's Radio 1. Williams returned to the UK and joined Newcastle's Metro Radio. Steven George Gerrard (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player, who most recently managed club Aston Villa. The idiom tongue-in-cheek refers to a humorous or sarcastic statement expressed in a serious manner. History The phrase originally expressed contempt, but by 1842 had acquired its modern meaning. Sergio Lorenzo "Serge" Pizzorno (born 15 December 1980) is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his work with the rock band Kasabian. He is Kasabian's primary songwriter since the departure of co-composer Christopher Karloff in 2006, and also the band's co-lead singer, and later being the sole lead singer following the 2020 sacking of Tom Meighan. He is also a member of Loose Tapestries alongside Noel Fielding and fellow Kasabian member Tim Carter, a group put together to produce music for Fielding's TV series ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy''. Kasabian
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and occasional vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist. Gary "Mani" Mounfield (born 16 November 1962Warshaw, AaronMani allmusic.com) is an English rock bassist, best known for being a member of The Stone Roses and Primal Scream. Career Mounfield attended Xaverian College in Rusholme, Manchester. He developed an interest in darts, a sport he went on to champion throughout his career.
