''So You Think You Can Dance Australia'' is an Australian version of the American reality dance competition ''So You Think You Can Dance''. The show is hosted by Carrie Bickmore, with judges Paula Abdul, Shannon Holtzapffel, Jason Gilkison and Aaron Cash. The first season began airing on Sunday, 3 February 2008 at 7.30 pm and continued on Sundays and Mondays until the final on 27 April 2008. Conrad Sewell
Conrad Ignatius Mario Maximilian Sewell (born 31 March 1988) is an Australian singer and songwriter. Sewell is best known for his vocals on Kygo's single " Firestone" and his number-one single " Start Again". Season two of ''So You Think You Can Dance Australia'', the Australian version of the American reality dance-off series ''So You Think You Can Dance'', is hosted by former Rogue Traders vocalist and solo artist Natalie Bassingthwaighte, with Jason Coleman, Matt Lee and Bonnie Lythgoe acting as the judges. It premiered on 1 February 2009. Talia Fowler was announced as the winner on 26 April 2009. Overview Auditions for the second season were held between September and November 2008 in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. Judges hope that season 2 will see more industry dancers auditioning after the favourable response to the first season of the show. Talia Fowler is an Australian dancer who won the 2009 season of ''So You Think You Can Dance Australia''. Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Fowler started ballet and jazz dance at the age of three. Jack Chambers (born 10 October 1988) is a dancer, singer, actor and choreographer, from Brisbane, Australia. He is best known for winning the first season of ''So You Think You Can Dance Australia'' in 2008. Early life Chambers started dance lessons at Brisbane's Julie-Ann Lucas School of Dance at the age of three and continued there until he was 17. He combined this training with acting and singing studies. Theatre Chambers' career took off at the age of 10 when he was cast in his first professional musical, the stage production of ''The Sound of Music'', playing Kurt Von Trapp at the Lyric Theatre in Brisbane. Bonnie Lythgoe
Bonita Lythgoe (née Shawe; born 1949) is a British former dancer who, since the 1990s and 2000s, has been the producer and director of various theatre productions, including pantomimes. In 1969, aged 19, Lythgoe auditioned for the BBC's Young Generation dance troupe, which included her future husband Nigel among its members. The couple started dating, but after Nigel became choreographer in 1971, he dismissed Bonnie from the troupe. They continued their personal relationship, subsequently married and became the parents of two sons, Simon and Kristopher. The Lythgoes separated in 2007, and divorced in 2010.
