"So Much in Love" is a song written by George Williams and Bill Jackson, and arranged by Roy Straigis. It was originally performed by the Tymes and was the group's first hit single, topping the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart on August 3, 1963, and remaining there for one week, as well as peaking at No. 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot R&B Singles chart. All-4-One version American R&B vocal group All-4-One released "So Much in Love" in late 1993 as their debut single. It peaked at No. 5 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in early 1994 and was certified Gold single, gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling 600,000 copies. The Tymes
The Tymes are an American soul vocal group who enjoyed equal success in the United Kingdom and in their homeland. They are one of the few acts to have one and only one chart-topper in both the US and UK with different songs. Early career The group was formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1956 as the Latineers, by Donald Banks (bass), Albert Berry (first tenor), Norman Burnett (baritone), and George Hilliard (second tenor). After a four-year stint on Philadelphia's club circuit, they recruited a new lead vocalist, George Williams in 1960, and changed their name to The Tymes. The Tymes had hits in the UK in the 1960s with songs such as "So Much in Love", a US chart topper and million-seller in 1963, "Wonderful! Wonderful!" (a remake of the Johnny Mathis classic hit from 1957), "Somewhere", then in 1970s with "You Little Trustmaker" and "Ms Grace". The Flirtations (group)
The Flirtations were a pro-LGBT, male a cappella musical group active from 1988 to 1997. The original members were Jon Arterton, Michael Callen, Aurelio Font, TJ Myers, and Cliff Townsend. On the ''Out On the Road'' album they were joined by Jimmy Rutland. The group later reconfigured: for the album ''Three'', Jon Arterton and Jimmy Rutland were joined by the woman, Suede. Their music provided an opportunity for both a celebration of gay culture and a call to arms in the battle against AIDS and homophobia. They were fronted by the gay activist Michael Callen from establishment in 1988 until his death from AIDS-related disease in 1993. Henry Fiol
Henry Fiol (born January 16, 1947) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader and painter. He is known for his traditional approach to son cubano and other Cuban music styles, and he is considered a "cult favorite" among Latin music fans. Fiol was born in Manhattan, New York, United States, to an Italian-American mother and a Puerto Rican father. He studied fine arts at Hunter College and became a teacher before starting his career as a musician in the 1969. In 1974, he co-founded, along with William Millán, a Cuban-style conjunto called Saoco, recording two albums with the group, ''Siempre seré guajiro'' for Mericana Records and ''Macho Mumba'' for Salsoul Records. He was the bandleader, singer, songwriter and cover artist for both albums, before leaving the band because of creative differences with Millán. The Housemartins were an English indie rock group formed in Hull who were active in the 1980s and charted three top-ten albums and six top-twenty singles in the UK.
