''So Lucky'' is the seventh studio album by Australian musician Renée Geyer. The album was released in November 1981 and includes Geyer's highest charting single " Say I Love You" which peaked at number 5 in Australia and number 1 in New Zealand. The album was released by Portrait Records in the United States of America in 1982 under the title Reneé Geyer. The songs were re-ordered. It was her second album released in that territory following the Polydor Records' '' Moving Along'' in 1977, which was also titled ''Reneé Geyer''. Renée Rebecca Geyer (born 11 September 1953) is an Australian singer who has long been regarded as one of the finest exponents of jazz, soul and R&B idioms. She had commercial success as a solo artist in Australia, with "It's a Man's Man's World", "Heading in the Right Direction" and " Stares and Whispers" in the 1970s and " Say I Love You" in the 1980s. NOTE: Used for Australian Singles and Albums charting until ARIA created their own charts in mid-1988. Geyer has also been an internationally respected and sought-after backing vocalist, whose session credits include work with Sting, Chaka Khan, Toni Childs and Joe Cocker. Johnny Lee Schell is an American guitarist and songwriter. In the late 1960s, he first recorded with producer Norman Petty in Group Axis. In the 1970s, he joined Amarillo TX southern rock band, Baby. Since his professional debut, he has played with dozens of well-known recording artists. His inclusion on albums such as Bonnie Raitt's '' Green Light'' (1982) and '' Nick of Time'' (1989) has lent him his bearing in American pop music culture. Ian Patrick McLagan (; 12 May 1945 – 3 December 2014) was an English keyboardist, best known as a member of the rock bands Small Faces and Faces. He also collaborated with the Rolling Stones and led his own band from the late 1970s. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Jerry Ragovoy
Jordan "Jerry" Ragovoy (September 4, 1930 – July 13, 2011) was an American songwriter and record producer. His best-known composition " Time Is on My Side" (written under the pseudonym of Norman Meade) was made famous by the Rolling Stones, although it had been recorded earlier by Kai Winding and Irma Thomas. Ragovoy also wrote " Stay With Me", which was originally recorded by Lorraine Ellison and made famous by Bette Midler in her film '' The Rose''. It was also performed by Mary J. It was produced by famed Motown musician Frank Wilson who assembled the cream of US session players to back Geyer.
