So Comic is a Greek webcomic platform created by chocolate wafer company ION in 2011. Featuring original works by Greek cartoonists such as and Con Chrisoulis, So Comic is the most successful blog in the country. Concept In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Greek chocolate wafer company Ion experimented with managing Facebook pages dedicated to various topics, such as cinema and music. In a 2017 interview with ''Parallaxi'' magazine, Michalis Filippidis, Product Manager of Ion, stated that "the most important element now in social media is the creation of original content." The company concluded that creating a new platform fully dedicated to creation of original content was the best choice. Ion collaborated with three or four artists who were already creating webcomics on their own blogs, and launched So Comic in September 2011. LIFO (pronounced La-ee-fo) is a Greek weekly free-press/city guide published by DYO DEKA and distributed in selected spots in Athens and Thessaloniki. It was created by journalist Stathis Tsagkarousianos in 2005 and its first issue was published in December of that year. LIFO.gr initially featured the contents of the magazine but has become a portal that includes news, features on current affairs, culture, a city guide, local news and videos. History The first issue was out in Athens and Thessaloniki on December 1, 2005. The word ATHINA was included in the logo for the first few issues. Being a free city guide, it featured anything of value happening in the Greek capital and included opinions and interviews. Ilias Kyriazis ( el, Ηλίας Κυριαζής; born 1978 in Athens, Greece) is a comic book writer and artist. He is widely known in Greece for his comic series '' Blood Opera'' and '' Manifesto'' (both of which published in the Greek comic magazine '' 9'' of ''Eleftherotypia''). and since 2008 he's been working for American publishers, mainly IDW and DC's Zuda. ''Neos Kosmos'' is a national Greek community newspaper in Melbourne, Australia. History Founded in 1957 by Dimitri Gogos, Bill Stefanou and noted author Alekos Doukas. The newspaper is published by Ethnic Publications Pty Ltd. In its early days, the newspaper was heavily left-leaning, and was considered radical by the Greek community in Australia although it soon grew in popularity. ''Neos Kosmos'' was known to advocate for issues which impacted the Greek community, like unionization and worker's rights. The paper was monitored by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation during the Vietnam War, due to its frequent publication of anti-conscription and anti-war sentiments. Markosia is a British comic book publishing company. History Markosia was founded by Harry Markos in 2004. He employed Richard Emms (previously of APC) as the Editor-in-chief as well as lead designer. in 2005. Markosia had already published Harry Gallan's '' The Lexian Chronicles'' novel and the initial plan was to produce comic adaptations of novels, such as ''The Lexian Chronicles'' and G.P. Taylor's '' Shadowmancer''. They subsequently secured the license to adapt '' Starship Troopers'', leading to a broadening in the business plan. This would further expand when Markosia brought Chuck Satterlee on board as Director of Operations.
