''Snowed In'' is the first Christmas album by American pop rock group Hanson. It was quickly released following the success of their previous album, '' Middle of Nowhere'', and was recorded in London. ''Snowed In'' was also the best-selling holiday album for 1997 in the United States, selling 863,000 copies that year according to Nielsen SoundScan. It has since sold a total of 1,081,000 copies in the US. The album features a mix of traditional Christmas carols (such as "Silent Night Medley"), covers of Christmas themed songs (such as "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "Merry Christmas, Baby") and Hanson's own compositions (such as "At Christmas" and "Christmas Time"). A serial film, film serial (or just serial), movie serial, or chapter play, is a motion picture form popular during the first half of the 20th century, consisting of a series of short subjects exhibited in consecutive order at one theater, generally advancing weekly, until the series is completed. Generally, each serial involves a single set of characters, protagonistic and antagonistic, involved in a single story, which has been edited into chapters after the fashion of serial fiction and the episodes cannot be shown out of order or as a single or a random collection of short subjects. Each chapter was screened at a movie theater for one week, and ended with a cliffhanger, in which characters found themselves in perilous situations with little apparent chance of escape. "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is a pop song originally sung by Darlene Love and included on the 1963 seasonal compilation album, ''A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector''. "Little Saint Nick" is a song by American rock band the Beach Boys first released as a single on December 9, 1963. Written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love, the Christmas song applies hot-rod themes to Santa Claus and his sleigh. The single peaked at number 3 on ''Billboard'' magazine's special seasonal weekly Christmas Singles chart. Its B-side was an a cappella version of "The Lord's Prayer". Anna Ruby Gaye (née Gordy; January 28, 1922 – January 31, 2014) was an American businesswoman, composer and songwriter.
