Plot Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the pantomime .... The Goodies live next door to ''Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs''. When ''Snow White'' runs away with a handsome prince, she arranges for the dwarfs to be garden gnomes. When only four of the seven dwarfs are left, they advertise for three other dwarfs to join them. Tim, Graeme and Bill pretend to be dwarfs and join, but they are unable to go through the front door of the dwarf's home without bumping their heads. The Goodies (TV Series)
''The Goodies'' is a British television comedy series shown in the 1970s and early 1980s. The series, which combines Surrealism, surreal Sketch comedy, sketches and situation comedy, was broadcast by the BBC, initially on BBC2 but soon repeated on BBC1, from 1970 to 1980. One seven-episode series was made for ITV (TV network), ITV company London Weekend Television, LWT and shown in 1981–82. The show was co-written by and starred Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie (together known as "The Goodies"). Bill Oddie also wrote the music and songs for the series, while "The Goodies Theme" was co-written by Oddie and Michael Gibbs (jazz composer), Michael Gibbs. Directors/producers of the series were John Howard Davies, Jim Franklin (director), Jim Franklin and Bob Spiers. The ugly stepsisters are characters in the fairy tale and pantomime, Cinderella. They are the daughters of Cinderella's wicked stepmother, who treat her poorly. The "ugly stepsisters" have been in variations of the story from as early as researchers have been able to determine. Early depictions In the ancient Chinese story of ''Ye Xian'', the "ugly sister" character is the titular character's half-sister and is named Jun-li. In contrast to the beautiful and talented Ye Xian, Jun-li is unattractive and too lazy to learn any particular skills. Jun-li and her mother, Jin, maltreat Ye Xian, forcing her to clean the cave in which they reside. Mike Edmonds
Mike Edmonds (born 13 January 1944) is an English actor with dwarfism, known for his role as Little Ron in the children's television show ''Maid Marian and Her Merry Men''. Edmonds has appeared in several films, including ''Flash Gordon'' (1980), ''The Dark Crystal'' (1982), and ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit'' (1988). He played the role of Og in the Terry Gilliam film ''Time Bandits'' (1981). In ''Return of the Jedi,'' (1983) he performed as the Ewok Logray as well as the operator for Jabba the Hutt's tail. Edmonds can be seen dancing in the Men Without Hats music video "The Safety Dance" as a dwarf jester, wearing a shirt for their ''Rhythm of Youth'' album. With the death of Malcolm Dixon in 2020, Edmonds became the last surviving actor to have played one of the titular Time Bandits. Malcolm Watson Dixon (1934 – 9 April 2020) was an English actor, best known for playing the role of Strutter in the 1981 film ''Time Bandits''. He had many roles which took advantage of his height, such as ewoks and dwarfs. Life and career Malcolm Dixon was born in Crook, County Durham, in 1934, as the youngest of seven brothers and the only child with dwarfism. He was raised in Crook. His parents died when he was young and he outlived all his brothers. Dixon worked on his parents' poultry farm and as a floral artist. He was discovered by a talent agent who was keen on Dixon's talents with ice skates at the Durham Ice Rink. He then worked in an ice show at Empire Pool, Wembley.
