Larry Snook (born June 19, 1941) is a retired United States Army Colonel who served as Grimes County Judge from January 1, 1991, to December 31, 1994, and Grimes County Commissioner, Precinct 1 from January 1, 2000, to December 31, 2003. Early life Larry Snook was born June 19, 1941, in Kilgore, Texas, to Dave Maxie Snook and Mary Frances (Noble) Snook. Snooks Eaglin
Fird Eaglin Jr. (January 21, 1936 or 1937 – February 18, 2009), known as Snooks Eaglin, was an American guitarist and singer based in New Orleans. In his early years he was sometimes credited under other names, including Blind Snooks Eaglin, "Lil" Snook, Ford Eaglin, Blind Guitar Ferd. His vocal style was reminiscent of that of Ray Charles; in the 1950s, when he was in his late teens, he sometimes billed himself as "Little Ray Charles". He played a wide range of styles of music within the same concert, album, or even song: blues, rock and roll, jazz, country, and Latin. In his early years, he also played acoustic blues. Snooks Dowd
Raymond Bernard "Snooks" Dowd (December 20, 1897 – April 4, 1962) was an American baseball and American football player. He played college football for Lehigh University. He also played professional football as an infielder from 1918 to 1927, including stints with the Detroit Tigers (1919), Philadelphia Athletics (1919), and Brooklyn Robins (1926). Early years Dowd was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1897. He attended Lehigh University where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was credited with a 200-yard touchdown run after recovering a fumble and running nearly 100 yards in the wrong direction before correcting his course and running 100 yards back in the correct direction. Snook, the alter-ego of Pete Soucy, is a Newfoundland comedian and actor. He is the face of NLClassifieds.com. Pete Soucy Peter "Pete" Soucy was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, moved with his family to Gander in 1969, where he attended school before eventually attending NSCAD in Nova Scotia. Tom Snooks
Thomas James Snooks (1890–1958) was a pioneering picture-show man and a developer-builder in the north-eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. In addition to his professional interest in cabinet-making and building, Tom possessed a love for live theatre, staging a number of Gilbert and Sullivan productions in the (now defunct) Maylands Methodist hall, when he was in his early twenties. Not long after the First World War he began showing silent films at a number of venues in Maylands - at the Maylands town hall and the old Lyric Theatre - as well as in Bassendean, and Inglewood, under the business name Central Pictures. Robert Snooks was the last man to be executed in England for highway robbery, on 11 March 1802. Born in Hungerford in Berkshire, he was christened as James Snook on 16 August 1761. The fact that his name is commonly quoted as Robert Snooks is perhaps due to a corruption of his identity as the "Robber" Snook.
