Snohomish County Explosion
The Snohomish County Explosion was a semi-professional basketball team that last played in the National Athletic Basketball League (NABL) in 2010. The team was based in Everett, Washington, in 2007 in Monroe, Washington, from 2008 to 2010. The Explosion is owned by Courtyard Media Foundation, whose president Nathan Mumm oversaw team operations. The Explosion were the IBL's 2007 Western Division Champions. History On March 17, 2007, The Everett Explosion in its first season went 16-4 regular season, and 17-5 overall and won the International Basketball League (IBL) West Division. The Explosion sent three All-Stars to the IBL All Star Game. The first season for the Everett Explosion ended on a high note, being ranked number one in the nation by the Massey Ratings index. International Basketball League
The International Basketball League (IBL) was a semi-professional men's basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. In 2010 the Albany Legends became the first team in the Northeastern United States to join. The IBL also sometimes featured teams from China and Japan which temporarily relocated to the United States for the IBL season. The IBL season typically ran from the end of March through July. History Founded by Portland area sports promoter Mikal Duilio, the league featured rules designed to create a fast-paced, high-scoring brand of basketball. The National Athletic Basketball League (NABL) was a men's semi-professional basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. Nathan Mumm (from Everett, Washington) is a Snohomish County multi-business executive. Born in 1973, his success in property management, technology, and media, which includes the national weekly radio show TechTime Radio, has allowed him the ability to diversify into many ventures within the Pacific Northwest.
