Snipex M
Snipex M is a long-range single-shot 12.7mm rifle with automatic case ejection. Developed by XADO, XADO-Holding Ltd. company (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Design The Snipex М rifle is available in two versions. Snipex М75 has a barrel length of 750 mm, and Snipex М100 — a barrel length of 1,000 mm. Both versions are designed taking into account all the requirements for weapons for high-precision shooting. The rifles have the bullpup design. The barrel is fully open, has eight right grooves with a 15-inch twist as well as cannelures. Equipped with a muzzle brake. Barrel locking is achieved through a rotating bolt. Thirteen bolt lugs are disposed in three rows and can rotate by 60 degrees, which ensures rigid locking of the barrel. Empty cases are ejected automatically when pulling the bolt back. Rotating Bolt
Rotating bolt is a method of locking the breech (or rear barrel) of a firearm closed for firing. Johann Nicolaus von Dreyse developed the first rotating bolt firearm, the "Dreyse needle gun", in 1836. The Dreyse locked using the bolt handle rather than lugs on the bolt head like the Mauser M 98 or M16. The first rotating bolt rifle with two lugs on the bolt head was the Lebel Model 1886 rifle. The concept has been implemented on most firearms chambered for high powered cartridges since the 20th century. The Picatinny rail ( or ), or Pic rail for short, also known as a MIL-STD-1913 rail, 1913 rail or STANAG 2324 rail (cancelled), is a military standard rail interface system that provides a mounting platform for firearm accessories. It was originally used for mounting of scopes atop the receivers of larger caliber rifles. Single-shot firearms are firearms that hold only a single round of ammunition, and must be reloaded manually after every shot. The history of firearms began with single-shot designs, then multi-barreled designs appeared, and eventually many centuries passed before multi-shot repeater designs became commonplace. Bullpup
A bullpup firearm is one with its firing grip located in front of the Chamber (firearms), breech of the weapon, instead of behind it. This creates a weapon with a shorter overall length for a given barrel length, and one that is often lighter, more compact, concealable and more maneuverable than a conventionally configured firearm. Where it is desirable for troops to be issued a more compact weapon, the use of a bullpup configuration allows for barrel length to be retained, thus preserving muzzle velocity, range and ballistic effectiveness. The bullpup concept was first tested militarily in 1901 with the British Thorneycroft carbine, but it was not until the Cold War that more successful designs and improvements led to wider adoption. A muzzle brake or recoil compensator is a device connected to, or a feature integral to the construction of, the muzzle or barrel of a firearm or cannon that is intended to redirect a portion of propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise. Barrels with an integral muzzle brake are often said to be ported. The concept of a muzzle brake was first introduced for artillery. Snipex T-Rex
The Snipex T-Rex is a single-shot anti-materiel rifle chambered for the 14.5×114mm cartridge and manufactured by XADO-Holding Ltd., Kharkiv, Ukraine. Design The T-Rex is a bullpup bolt-action rifle. During loading, the cartridge is inserted into the breech opening with the bolt open. Barrel locking is achieved through a rotating bolt. Snipex Rhino Hunter
The Snipex Rhino Hunter is a civilian version of the Snipex M rifle chambered for .50 BMG, developed by the Ukrainian company XADO-Holding Ltd. Design The Snipex Rhino Hunter is a bolt-action bullpup with a rotating bolt, and is equipped with a muzzle brake. The bolt has a special flag indicator that allows controlling the degree of bolt locking. For ease of use in the dark, the indicator is made of luminophore. To reduce recoil, the rifle uses the inertia recoil system, which includes spring-loaded assemblies and hydraulic or spring shock absorbers.
