John Egan (Gaelic Footballer)
John Egan (13 June 1952 – 8 April 2012) was an Irish sportsperson. Egan was born in Tahilla (near Sneem), County Kerry. He played Gaelic football with his local club Sneem, his divisional side South Kerry and at senior level with the Kerry county team between 1975 and 1984. Career A prolific corner forward on the Kerry county team of the late 1970s and 1980s, Egan made his senior inter-county debut against Tipperary in the 1975 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, and instantly marked his arrival onto the senior stage with two goals in the first round opener. The 1975 success marked the beginning of a golden era for the county. Successive Munster titles in 1976 and 1977 were followed by consecutive defeats to Dublin at the All-Ireland SFC final and semi-final stages. However, in 1978, Egan scored in every round of the Championship, and Kerry went on to win again against Dublin in the final. Killian Burns
Killian Burns was a Gaelic football player from Sneem Co Kerry. He played Corner back for Kerry when they won the 1997 & 2000 All-Ireland Senior Football Championships. He made his debut against Laois in February, 1996. He won his first Munster Senior Football Championship final for Kerry in 1996 beating Cork 0-14 to 0-11. Killian scored the last point of the game. He won an All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championships in 1995 & 1996 beating Mayo and Cavan. He also won a Hogan Cup in 1992 with St. Brendan's College at corner back, scoring the last point in the final. He won a National League Division 1 title at corner back beating Cork in the final 3-8 to 1-7 in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. He won a Munster Junior Championship in 2003 with Kerry at centre back. Killian played full back for the South Kerry seniors that won the Kerry County Championship in 2004 and 2005 before moving to Dublin side Round Towers. Ronan Hussey is an Irish sportsman. He plays Gaelic football with his local Sneem club, with the South Kerry divisional team, and formerly with the Kerry county team. Playing career Hussey was a member of the South Kerry team which won the Kerry Senior Football Championship three times in succession from 2004 to 2006.
