Snap Judgment (radio Program)
''Snap Judgment'' is a weekly storytelling radio program and podcast, produced in Oakland, California and distributed by Public Radio Exchange, and hosted by Glynn Washington. Guests have included comedian Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, Antwan Williams, Alison Becker, Ise Lyfe and Earlonne Woods. Each episode is made up of narrative pieces on a common theme. The program first aired in July 2010. As of November 2017, the podcast was downloaded approximately 2 million times per month, and the program is broadcast across more than 400 radio stations nationwide. History In 2008, Glynn Washington won the Public Radio Talent Quest, a talent contest staged by Public Radio Exchange and Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The Public Radio Exchange (PRX) is a non-profit web-based platform for digital distribution, review, and licensing of radio programs. The organization is the largest on-demand catalogue of public radio programs available for broadcast and internet use. WNYC is the trademark and a set of call letters shared by WNYC (AM) and WNYC-FM, a pair of nonprofit, noncommercial, public radio stations located in New York City. Glynn Washington (born 1970) is a media personality and producer. He is the host, creator and executive producer of '' Snap Judgment'', a radio / podcast/ stage / television show distributed by PRX. Early life and education Washington was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1970. He and his family moved to a farm in rural Michigan. He was raised in the apocalyptic religious cult, the Worldwide Church of God (now called Grace Communion International). Earlonne Woods
Earlonne Woods (born August 13, 1971) is an American podcaster and author, best known for co-hosting and co-founding the podcast '' Ear Hustle'' in 2017, and co-authoring the book ''This Is Ear Hustle'' in 2021. Woods helped create ''Ear Hustle'' while incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison. In November 2018, Woods' sentence was commuted by California governor Jerry Brown. Ise Lyfe (pronounced "Ice Life"), born Isaac Patrick-Francis Brown, is a spoken word and hip-hop artist as well as an educator, community organizer, and activist in his native Oakland, California. He won the 2001 National Poetry Slam Competition and appeared on Russell Simmons' Def Poetry Jam performing a piece entitled ''Popular Dirt'' on HBO. He appeared in a one-man show based on his book ''Pistols and Prayers'', and wrote another one-person show called ''Who's Krazy?''.
