SmartCell Technology, LLC was a mobile applications developer with its headquarters in Irvine, California, United States, and a development center in Shanghai, China. Commonly referred to as "SmartCell" for short, the company was founded in 2001 by its President and CEO, Bruce Wang, whose previous involvements have been with mobile technology. SmartCell has developed a number of mobile applications using its proprietary technology, called HCM Technology, which is shorthand for High-performance, Cross-platform Mobile Technology. A Pocket PC (P/PC, PPC) is a class of personal digital assistant (PDA) that runs the Windows Mobile or Windows Embedded Compact operating system that has some of the abilities of modern desktop PCs. A shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it.
