"Small Worlds" is the fifth episode of the first series of the British science fiction television series ''Torchwood'', which was originally broadcast on the digital television channel BBC Three on 12 November 2006. The episode involves the alien hunters Torchwood investigating a group of deadly fairies who intend to turn the Cardiff child Jasmine Pierce (Lara Phillipart) into a fairy. Filming took place in the villages of Radyr and Pentyrch in Cardiff North. Plot Jack is invited to a presentation on fairies held by his former lover Estelle, and brings Gwen along. Estelle shows the audience the Cottingley Fairies photographs, then compares them to photographs she had taken a couple of nights before. Jack and Estelle later discuss the photographs and the nature of fairies at her home. Richard Stokes (producer)
Richard Stokes is a British television producer and executive producer. In 2003, he was interviewed for the post of producer on the then in pre-production revival of ''Doctor Who'', but ultimately lost out on the job to Phil Collinson. Career He worked on ''Eastenders'' as a script editor towards the end of the 1990s and the early 2000s. After, he worked on ''Holby City'' as series producer (until 2005) and executive producer (2005–2006). He produced the first two series of the ''Doctor Who'' spin-off series ''Torchwood'' for the BBC. Radyr
Radyr ( cy, Radur) is an outer suburb of Cardiff, about northwest of Cardiff city centre. Radyr is part of Radyr and Morganstown Community, for which the 2011 Census recorded a population of 6,417. Morganstown is north of Radyr, on the other side of the M4 Motorway. The Torchwood Institute, or simply Torchwood, is a fictional secret society, secret organisation from the British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its Doctor Who spin-offs, spin-off series ''Torchwood''. It was established in 1879 by Queen Victoria after the events of "Tooth and Claw (Doctor Who), Tooth and Claw". BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC.
