Slow Roast Records is an independent record label based out of Miami, Florida, US. History Slow Roast Records was founded in 2009 by the 3x DMC World Champion DJ Craze and Kill the Noise. The ''Miami New Times'' acknowledges the record label's starting to make big waves in the independent scene in recent years saying, "After a couple of years of carefully cooking up the right beats, choosing the right artists, and prepping the right releases, Craze, Kill the Noise, and their genre-bending label hit it hard in 2013." Until recently, Slow Roast was distributed by their good friends at Fool's Gold Records. Founders Craze was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Miami where he currently resides. DJ Craze
DJ Craze (born Arist Delgado; November 19, 1977), is a Nicaraguan American DJ and record producer who plays hip hop, Miami bass, trap, breaks, dubstep, drum and bass, and practices turntablism. He was, until 2020, the only solo DJ in history to win the DMC World DJ Championships trophy three times consecutively (1998–2000). Biography DJ Craze was born in Managua, Nicaragua. At the age of 3, in 1980, he fled the country with his family during the war which lasted throughout the 1980s. Craze and his family moved to San Francisco, California, where they lived for a short while, before moving to Miami, Florida, where he currently resides. The style of his music carries many of his past musical influences. DJ Klever
Josh Winkler, better known as DJ Klever is an American turntablist and two-time US Disco Mix Club champion. He has toured the US and abroad, and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Since early 2014 he has been rapper Yelawolf's touring DJ; he later started working with the rapper and signed to his record label Slumerican. He is involved in the rapper's second studio album '' Love Story'', and has appeared in most of the singles' music videos. Michael Angelakos
Michael John Angelakos (born May 19, 1987) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the frontman of the indietronica band Passion Pit. Career Passion Pit (2008–present) The first Passion Pit songs, which would later become the ''Chunk of Change'' EP, were written by Angelakos at Emerson College as a belated Valentine's Day gift to his then-girlfriend. At first, he wrote and performed all his material alone using a laptop. After one of his solo shows in the Boston area, Ian Hultquist, who was attending Berklee at the time, approached Angelakos and expressed interest in creating and playing music collaboratively. Isaac Freeman III (born August 6, 1971), better known by his stage name Fatman Scoop, is an American rapper, promoter and radio personality famed for his on-stage rough, raw loud voice. He is known for the song "Be Faithful", which topped the charts in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland in October 2003, and peaked within the top ten of the charts in Denmark and Australia. John Dadzie (born June 7, 1982), better known by his stage names 12th Planet and Infiltrata, is an American Disc jockey, DJ and dubstep producer from Los Angeles. It was released on December 23, 2011, via Beatport while being released on other digital retailers on December 27, 2011. It was released on January 24, 2012, as a physical CD. Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988), known professionally as Skrillex, is an American DJ and music producer.
