''SuperStar Search Slovakia'' ( sk, Slovensko hľadá SuperStar) is a casting television show based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol''. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Slovakia and is shown by the private TV network Markíza. The third season premiered in September 2007 with castings held in Banská Bystrica, Žilina, Bratislava and Košice. Regional auditions Auditions were held in Bratislava, Košice, Banská Bystrica, Žilina in the summer of 2007. Divadlo In Divadlo where 100 contestants. The contestants first emerged on stage in groups of 9 or 10 but performed solo unaccompanied, and those who did not impress the judges were cut after the group finished their individual performances. 22 contestants made it to the Semi-final. Ladislav Lučenič
Laco Lučenič (born 23 November 1952) is a Slovak musician and music producer. He is known as a former member of such Slovak bands as Fermáta, Prúdy, Modus, and Limit. He became popular for his role as a judge on the Slovak Pop Idol ('' Slovensko hľadá SuperStar''). Growing up in the 1960s, he became fascinated by the "electrifying" music of the Beatles, Kinks, Rolling Stones, and others. In his project called "Satisfactory", he plays music from the 1960s. Morcheeba is an English electronic band formed in the mid-1990s with founding members vocalist Skye Edwards and the brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. They mix influences from trip hop, rock music, rock, folk rock and downtempo, and have produced ten regular studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the UK top ten.
