Slovak Football Association
The Slovak Football Association ( sk, Slovenský futbalový zväz, SFZ) is the governing body of football in Slovakia based in Bratislava. It has the ultimate responsibility for the control and development of football in Slovakia and is the body that runs the Slovakia national football teams. It was founded on 4 November 1938 and originally became a member of FIFA in 1939, but disbanded after World War II because Czech and Slovak football competitions combined, and so did the national teams. Following the breakup of Czechoslovakia, the organisation was reformed, joining the European governing body, UEFA, in 1993 and rejoining FIFA in 1994. The UEFA qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was a beach soccer tournament which took place in Jesolo, Italy between 5–14 September 2014. The tournament served as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifier for teams from UEFA, where the top four teams qualified for the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal. 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualification (UEFA)
The 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers for UEFA was a beach soccer tournament played in Bibione, Italy from July 11–18, 2010, which determined the four teams that qualified to the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Ravenna, Italy. All matches were played at a temporary stadium on the beach at Piazzale Zenith in Bibione. The draw for the group stage of the competition was made at the end of June, 2010. The nations who reached the semi-finals of the tournament achieved qualification for the world cup who were Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland and Portugal. This meant that Spain, who won the 2008 qualifying championship and who came second in 2009, did not even manage to qualify from this year's event for the next world cup, meaning the 2011 world cup will be the first time Spain have not competed in 12 world cups, since the 1997 Beach Soccer World Cup.
