Slobodan Nikolić
Slobodan Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Слободан Николић; born June 14, 1959) is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. Playing career Nikolić played for the Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav First League from 1975 to 1987 and from 1989 to 1991. He holds the Clubs records for the most seasons played (14) and the most games played (429). He also played for the Vojvodina and the OKK Beograd as well as for Bulgarian team Plama Pleven. He retired as a player with Radnički Kragujevac in 1995. Coaching career Nikolić coached teams from Russia (Spartak Primorye), Bulgaria (Lukoil Academic), the Czech Republic (Opava, Synthesia Pardubice), Romania ( Energia Rovinari) as well as OKK Beograd, Radnički Zastava and Borac Banja Luka. Personal life He is the father of a Serbian basketball player Stefan Nikolić (born 1987). Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. The Liga Națională Baschet de Masculin (LNBM) () is the top-tier professional basketball league of Romania. Founded in 1950, the winner of the league is crowned the Romanian national champion. First Federal Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945 and folded in 1992 (1991-92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Yugoslavia Men's National Under-18 Basketball Team
The Yugoslavia men's national under-18 basketball team ( sh, Juniorska košarkaška reprezentacija Jugoslavije) was the boys' basketball team, administered by Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia, that represented SFR Yugoslavia in international under-18 (under age 18) men's basketball competitions, consisted mainly of the European Championship for Juniors, nowadays known as the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. The FIBA U18 European Championship, originally known as the European Championship for Juniors, is a youth men's basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1964 edition. The Bulgarian Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition, organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation since 1951. The cup was not held in 1957, 1958, 1960 and 1961. BC CSKA Sofia is the all-time record holder with 18 titles. Format Since 2009, except from 2017-2019, the Final Eight format has been used and from 2010 only teams from the first tier participate in it.
