''Slide'' is the second album by American electronic musician George Clanton, released on August 17, 2018 by his independent record label 100% Electronica. Background and music After releasing his debut album '' 100% Electronica'', George Clanton tried to produce a sequel to it for three years but found it difficult because he wasn't able to find the sound he wanted for it. After giving up, he started experimenting and writing stuff for fun and felt that the "songs ere writingthemselves". This material became the basis for ''Slide''. Clanton said that ''Slide'' was the first album he wrote under his own name, since his debut album was written as a Mirror Kisses record before he decided to release it under his real name. ''Slide'' is the second extended play by Canadian country artist Madeline Merlo. It was released on September 23, 2022, via Wheelhouse Records, and marks Merlo's debut release in the United States. She co-wrote every song on the project. Background and promotion Merlo signed with the BBR Music Group in 2020 and took extra time to write songs before releasing the extended play. She felt that she initially put too much pressure on herself, before refocusing with the help of her new producer Zach Crowell. Slide guitar is a technique for playing the guitar that is often used in blues music. It involves playing a guitar while holding a hard object (a slide) against the strings, creating the opportunity for glissando effects and deep vibratos that reflect characteristics of the human singing voice. It typically involves playing the guitar in the traditional position (flat against the body) with the use of a slide fitted on one of the guitarist's fingers. The slide may be a metal or glass tube, such as the neck of a bottle. The term bottleneck was historically used to describe this type of playing. Slides or sliders are a type of light footwear that are characterized by having a loose heel that holds on to the foot from the front. Like flip-flops, they are typically employed in casual situations, in addition to being a unisex footgear worn by both sexes. Sliders are distinguished from flip-flops by their vamp strap which does not separate the big toe from the rest of the toes.
