Slaughterhouse Rock
''Slaughterhouse Rock'' (also known as ''Hell Island'' in the United Kingdom) is a 1988 American supernatural horror film directed by Dimitri Logothetis, and starring Nicholas Celozzi, Tom Reilly, Donna Denton, Hope Marie Carlton, Tammara Hyler, Steven Brian Smith, Ty Miller, and Toni Basil. Its plot follows a college student who travels to Alcatraz Island with his friends, after having recurring nightmares of a rock band that was killed there. Plot Alex Gardner (Nicholas Celozzi), a college student suffers from recurring nightmares in which he experiences the deaths of the victims of a vicious killer who lived on Alcatraz, before it became a prison. When the nightmares begin manifesting in reality, and his friends see him hovering over his bed, his teacher (Donna Denton), an occultist, tells him to go to the island to face down the ghost of the killer. Dimitri Logothetis
Dimitri Logothetis is a Greek-American actor, director, comedian, and producer. Early life Logothetis was born in Athens, Greece, and immigrated to the United States of America at the age of six with his mother, Anna, and his father, Euthymios. Euthymios moved to the United States to join his family, Dimitri's father spent eight years working as a mechanic in Los Angeles and became an American citizen. Logothetis attended Beverly Vista Grammar School and Lawndale High School in the Los Angeles South Bay area where he played football and ran track. Career In his last year at Loyola, Logothetis was hired by Capitol Records to record the US tour of the rock band The Knack. He was then hired by Columbia Pictures to produce his first film, ''Hardbodies 2''. Caryn A. James (born Caryn A. Fuoroli) is an American film critic, journalist, university lecturer and writer. Biography James is one of at least three children born to James M. Fuoroli Sr. and Joan A. Ford. A native of Providence, Rhode Island, she graduated—as Caryn A. Fuoroli—from Providence College in 1974 and obtained her doctorate in English literature at Brown University. ''Hard Rock Zombies'' is a 1985 American comedy horror film directed and co-written by Krishna Shah, and starring E.J. Curse, Geno Andrews, Sam Mann, Mick McMains, Lisa Toothman, Jennifer Coe, Ted Wells, and Jack Bliesener. The film was released by Cannon Film Distributors on September 1985. Plot A heavy-metal band must do a performance to impress a record company scout. They do a concert in a town that outlaws rock and roll music. The town counsel is influenced by a murderous Nazi cult. The band is slain by the cult, but later returned to life as zombies by a song recording that the bass player wrote using medieval spell book lyrics. Cellulose acetate film, or safety film, is used in photography as a base material for photographic emulsions. It was introduced in the early 20th century by film manufacturers and intended as a safe film base replacement for unstable and highly flammable Nitrocellulose#Film, nitrate film. The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. It is designed to supersede the DVD format, and capable of storing several hours of high-definition video (HDTV 720p and 1080p). Code Red DVD was an independent American home entertainment company specializing in retro grindhouse, exploitation, and horror films, operated by Bill Norton Olsen. The company originally began releasing films on DVD in 2006, and later began releasing and re-releasing titles on Blu-ray. History Code Red was begun in 2006 by president Bill Norton Olsen.
