Slammiversary 2009
Slammiversary Seven was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which took place on June 21, 2009 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It was the fifth event under the Slammiversary chronology and used to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the promotion. There were seven matches on the card. The main event for the show was annually held King of the Mountain match (KOTM) for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship which saw Kurt Angle defeat Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, and A.J. Styles. For the first time, the undercard for the event also featured another KOTM for the TNA X Division Championship having champion Suicide retain over Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin, and Alex Shelley. Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett (born July 14, 1967) is an American professional wrestler and promoter. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he also serves as Director of Business Development. Beginning his career in his father Jerry Jarrett's Continental Wrestling Association (CWA) in 1986, Jarrett first came to prominence upon debuting with a country music star gimmick in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 1992. James Allen Cox (born June 1, 1977) is an American professional wrestler better known by the ring name James Storm. He is best known for his time in Impact Wrestling.
