Slagle Township is a civil township of Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 503 at the 2010 census. Communities * Caberfae is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) partially located within the township. Most of the CDP and its population are within South Branch Township to the south. * Harrietta is a village partially located within the township. The majority of the village is located within Boon Township to the east. Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , all land. Mesick ( ) is a village in Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 397 at the 2020 census. The majority of the village is located within Springville Township with a very small portion extending east into Antioch Township. History Mesick was first settled along the Toledo, Ann Arbor and Northern Michigan Railroad within Springville Township in 1890. The community received a post office on January 9, 1891 with Henry Brooks serving as the first postmaster. Mesick incorporated as a village in 1901.
