Skënder Zogu
Skënder Zogu (born 3 June 1933) is an Albanian author and member of the House of Zogu. As the son of Prince Xhelal Zogu, he is first in the line of succession to the former Albanian throne after his first cousin once removed, Leka, Crown Prince of Albania. Biography Zogu was born to Prince Xhelal Zogu (half-brother of Zog I of Albania) and Faika Minxhalliu on 3 June 1933 in Davos, Switzerland. He studied at the Huddersfield College of Technology, which later became the University of Huddersfield. During his time at university, he was the vice president and then president of the Student Union. After graduating with a degree in Textile and Color Chemistry, Zogu worker for a period of time for Francolor. He went on to work as a textile sales manager at KVK Danemark. On 9 April 1961, Zogu was present when Zog I of Albania died while in exile at Hôpital Foch in Suresnes, Hauts-de-Seine, France. Zogu organized the funeral, which was held two days later. Xhelal Pasha Zogolli
Xhelal Pasha Zogolli was hereditary governor of Mati, father of Xhemal Pasha Zogu and grandfather of King Zog I. Life Xhelal Pasha Zogolli was educated privately. He served in the Montenegrin War of 1852-53. Later he visited Russia and inspired by Russians he attempted a local rebellion against Ottoman rule after his return which was unsuccessful because of the low participation. He married Ruqiya Khanum uhijé Hanem from the wealthy Alltuni family of Kavajë Kavajë ( , sq-definite, Kavaja) is a municipality centrally located in the Western Lowlands region of Albania, in Tirana County. Xhemal Pasha Zogu
Xhemal Pasha Zogu (; 1860–1911), also known as Jamal Pasha or Jamal Pasha Zogolli, was the Hereditary Governor of Mati, Albania (at the time part of the Ottoman Empire). He was the father of King Zog I of Albania. Born at Burgajet Castle, Mati (or Constantinople), in 1860, he was the third son of Xhelal Pasha Zogolli and Ruhije Alltuni, from the wealthy Alltuni family of Kavajë. He was educated privately and became Hereditary Governor of Mati upon the death of his older brother, Riza. During the Great Eastern Crisis, a meeting held in Debar (1880) by Albanian notables deciding on the course of action regarding the Ottoman cessation of Ulcinj to Montenegro, Xhemal was in the pro-government group advocating no action be taken and was against a declaration of Albanian autonomy in the Balkans. The Order of Besa ( sq, Urdhëri i Besës) was established by Ahmet Zogu (later King Zog I) when he was President of Albania. Founded on 22 December 1926, it was initially awarded in four classes (1. Grand Cordon with star–''Kordon i Madh me Yll'', 2. Grand Officer–''Oficer i Madh'', 3. Commander–''Komandar'', and 4. Knight–''Kalorës'') and a medal. It was limited to six ordinary recipients of Albanian nationality, and not awardable to foreigners. Leka, Crown Prince of Albania (also known as ''King Leka I''; 5 April 193930 November 2011), was the only son of King Zog I and Queen Geraldine of Albania. He was called Crown Prince Skander at birth. Leka was the pretender to the Albanian throne and was referred to as King Leka I.
