Skyline High School (Utah)
Skyline High School is a public high school in Millcreek, Utah, United States. Skyline High School serves ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. The school opened in 1962 and is administered by the Granite School District. Admission to Skyline High School is open enrollment. Students are neither required to take an admission exam nor need to live within the boundaries set by the administering district. Academically, it is one of only seven Utah schools to offer the IB Diploma Program, along with Hillcrest High School, and West High School. Skyline's music and drama programs have received statewide recognition. The debate program is also ranked at the region and state levels. Since the school's establishment, fourteen Skyline students have been selected as US Presidential Scholars. Millcreek, Utah
Millcreek is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, and is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population as of the 2020 Census was 63,380. Prior to its incorporation on December 28, 2016, Millcreek was a census-designated place (CDP) and township. History The first settlers of the Millcreek area in 1848 included Mary Fielding Smith (widow of Hyrum Smith) and her children, including Joseph F. Smith. The area remained essentially rural in character until after World War II. As postwar suburban growth spilled south over the Salt Lake City limits, the area was not annexed by the city and remained unincorporated. By the 1980s, most of the area now in Millcreek was built out and known by various names, including East Mill Creek, Canyon Rim and Mount Olympus. Clearfield High School
Clearfield High School is a secondary school in Clearfield, Utah, United States. It is part of the Davis School District. The school's mascot is the peregrine falcon, and its colors are green and white with an accent of gold. In 1960-61 students opened the doors of the new Clearfield High School, with the first class graduating in spring 1963. The current principal is Chris Keime. Athletics Clearfield High participates in many sports. It has teams that compete in baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, track, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling. Brandon Doman
Brandon Doman (born December 29, 1976) is an American football player and coach. He is the former offensive coordinator for the Brigham Young University (BYU) Cougars. Doman played quarterback for BYU in 2000-2001 and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2002 NFL Draft. He was the offensive coordinator at BYU in 2011-2012 before being replaced in 2013 by Robert Anae. Playing career Doman tied a BYU school record by winning his first fourteen starts as a starter, including the final game of head coach LaVell Edwards in 2000. During the 2001 season, the "Domanator" and BYU won twelve straight games to begin the season before losing their final two. Doman completed 261 of 408 passes that year (64% completions), finishing with 3,542 passing yards and 33 touchdowns. John Curtis (Utah Politician)
John Ream Curtis (born May 10, 1960) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district since 2017. A Republican who served as mayor of Provo, Utah, from 2010 to 2017. On November 7, 2017, he won a special election to replace Jason Chaffetz in Congress, after Chaffetz resigned. He was reelected in 2018 and 2020. Early life John Curtis was born May 10, 1960, in Ogden, Utah. His parents were Jesse Duckworth "Dee" Curtis (1927–2015) and Hazel Dawn Curtis (née Ream, 1925–2016). Justin Braun (born March 31, 1987) is an American retired soccer player who played as a forward. Career Youth and amateur Braun had an accomplished career at Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, where he was named to the All-State first team in his junior and senior years, and to the second team his second year, as well as being the leading scorer in the state during his last two years at the school. Steven Anthony "Tony" Bergstrom (born August 6, 1986) is an American football center who is a free agent. He played college football at Utah, and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. ACM/IEEE Supercomputing Conference
SC (formerly Supercomputing), the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis, is the annual conference established in 1988 by the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society.
