Skyline High School (Kansas)
Skyline School is a fully accredited public school located two miles west of Pratt, Kansas, serving students in grades K-12. The school is operated by Skyline USD 438 school district. Skyline High School is one of two high schools serving the city of Pratt. The school colors are Columbia blue and white, although you may see Deep Sky blue or Navy blue alongside Columbia blue, and the school mascot is the Thunderbird. Skyline School was founded in 1966 in order to help educate the growing population of Pratt County. Skyline High School is a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association and offers a variety of sports programs. Athletic teams compete in the 2A division in the Heart of the Plains League and are known as the "Thunderbirds". The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is the organization which oversees interscholastic competition in the U.S. state of Kansas at the high school, high-school level. It oversees both athletic and non-athletic competition, and sponsors championships in several sports and activities. History The Kansas State High School Activities Association was formed in 1937 and incorporated in 1956. As early as 1910, Kansas schools organized the statewide Debate League and Athletic Association governed by high school principals.
