Skinny Bobby Harper
Robert Blake Harper (1939 – July 22, 2003) was a Canadian-born radio and video DJ. Radio Harper debuted on the air in Shenandoah, Iowa, where he worked at a radio station to help to pay his college expenses. Much of his job involved playing recorded religious programs. First making it big in Cincinnati, Ohio at WSAI (AM) and in Kansas City, Missouri at WDAF. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the late 1960s and joined the staff of WQXI radio. '' WKRP in Cincinnati'' writer Bill Dial worked with Harper at WQXI and used him as the inspiration for the sitcom's off-the-wall character Dr. Johnny Fever, played by Howard Hesseman. In June 1965, Harper was fired from WSAI after he was involved in legal problems including three speeding convictions in 14 months and convictions for disorderly conduct. WAKY (620 kHz AM) is a classic hits radio station in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area that simulcasts WAKY-FM (103.5 MHz FM). It is currently owned by William Walters, through licensee W & B Broadcasting Co., Inc. The station used to share a significant portion of Spanish programming with sister station WTUV-FM (105.7 FM) until WTUV-FM was sold to UB Louisville and became English-language sports radio station WHBE-FM. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA, ) is the principal public transport operator in the Atlanta metropolitan area. WATL (channel 36) is a television station in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, affiliated with MyNetworkTV. It is owned by Tegna Inc. alongside NBC affiliate WXIA-TV (channel 11). Atlanta Flames
The Atlanta Flames were a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta from 1972 until 1980. They played home games in the Omni Coliseum and were members of the West and later Patrick divisions of the National Hockey League (NHL). Along with the New York Islanders, the Flames were created in 1971 as part of the NHL's conflict with the rival World Hockey Association (WHA). The team enjoyed modest success on the ice, qualifying for the playoffs in six of its eight seasons, but failed to win a playoff series and won only two post-season games total. The franchise struggled to draw fans and, after averaging only 10,000 per game in the early years of 1979–80, was sold and relocated to Alberta to become the Calgary Flames. Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey.
