Ski Bums
Ski Bums was a travel and social club for LGBT skiers and snowboarders, with hundreds of members from across North America. It hosted social events and group trips to ski resorts throughout North America, South America and Europe. History Ski Bums was founded in New York City in December 2003. The club began hosting trips in 2005. Ski Bums began with local daytrips from New York City, but within two years, began traveling to ski resorts throughout the American West. Ski Bums offered year-round vacations to ski resorts in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, visiting mountains throughout North America, South America and Europe. Social events Ski bums hosted Avalanche, a party for its members and friends, at therapy, a gay bar in New York City. Mountain Creek
Mountain Creek is a ski resort in Vernon Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on New Jersey Route 94, from the George Washington Bridge. Mountain Creek contains of skiing area, night skiing, snowboarding, and snowmaking activities. The resort also includes a snow tubing park, zip-lines, an alpine coaster, and a seasonal water park that operates from May to September. Mountain Creek was owned and operated by Intrawest Resorts Holdings, Inc. until May 2010 when it was sold to neighboring Crystal Springs Resort. Crystal Springs then sold the property to a New Jersey family. On May 5, 2017, Mountain Creek filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The resort emerged from bankruptcy in August 2019. Hunter Mountain (ski Area)
Hunter Mountain is a ski resort located in Greene County, New York about three hours northwest of New York City in the town of Hunter, New York. It features a vertical drop. From its inception in the late 1950s, the management of Hunter Mountain has employed extensive snowmaking facilities. Hunter was the first ski destination in the state of New York to install snow-making, the first in the world with top-to-bottom snow-making, and the first in the world to have 100-percent snow-making coverage of the mountain. Mount Snow (previously known as Mount Pisgah) is a mountain and ski resort in southern Vermont located in the Green Mountains. It is Vermont's southernmost big mountain, and therefore, closest to many Northeast metropolitan areas. Stowe Mountain Resort
Stowe Mountain Resort is a ski resort in the northeastern United States, near the town of Stowe in northern Vermont, comprising two separate mountains: Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Stratton is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 440 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 46.9 square miles (121.5 km2), of which 46.4 square miles (120.1 km2) is land and 0.5 square mile (1.4 km2) (1.15%) is water. Stratton Mountain is the high point of the town. Stratton Mountain Resort is at the northern end of the mountain. Killington Ski Resort
Killington Mountain Resort & Ski Area is a ski resort in Rutland County, Vermont, United States, near the town of Killington. It is the largest ski area in the eastern U.S., and has the largest vertical drop in New England at . Since the 2013–14 ski season, it has been called the "Beast of the East." Big Sky, Montana
Big Sky is an unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in southwestern Montana, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 2,308. It is southwest of Bozeman. This unincorporated community straddles both counties, is not considered a town, and does not have a town government. The primary industry of the area is tourism. Geography Big Sky is located at (45.269940, -111.299725), approximately midway between West Yellowstone and Bozeman on U.S. Highway 191 and from the northwestern border of Yellowstone National Park.
