Skay Beilinson
Eduardo "Skay" Beilinson (born January 15, 1952) is an Argentine guitarist who has played in the band Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, one of the most famous rock bands of Argentina. He is considered one of the best guitarists of his country, ''Rolling Stone'' magazine ranked him 6th on his list of "100 Best Argentine Guitarists". Among his influences are Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Keith Richards, Pink Floyd, Buddy Guy, Vanilla Fudge and The Byrds. Career 1968–1977: Early years Skay Beilinson was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, and started playing the guitar when he was 12 years old; his teacher was Leopoldo Ezcurra. In 1968, played with his brother in Diplodocum Red & Brown, and then in La Cofradia de la Flor Solar to the early 1970s, together with Kubero Diaz. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. Vanilla Fudge
Vanilla Fudge is an American rock band known predominantly for their slow extended heavy rock arrangements of contemporary hit songs, such as their hit cover of The Supremes' "You Keep Me Hangin' On". The band's original line–up—vocalist and organist Mark Stein, bassist and vocalist Tim Bogert, lead guitarist/vocalist Vince Martell, and drummer and vocalist Carmine Appice—recorded five albums during the years 1967–69, before disbanding in 1970. The band has toured as recently as 2022 with three of the four original members: Stein, Martell, and Appice, with Pete Bremy on bass. Bogert retired in 2009 and died in 2021. Tandil is the main city of the homonymous Partidos of Buenos Aires, partido (department), located in Argentina, in the southeast of Buenos Aires Province, just north-northwest of Tandilia hills. ''Luzbelito'' is the eighth album by Argentine rock band Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, released in 1996. In 2007, the Argentine edition of ''Rolling Stone'' ranked it 88th on its list of " The 100 Greatest Albums of National Rock". Background ''Luzbelito'' is a concept album, based on a fictional child of the Devil called "Luzbelito", plays with the ambiguities of human beliefs and behaviors from different points of view. The recording began in Brazil on "Be Bop" Studios, São Paulo and then in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on "New River" Studios. Back in Buenos Aires, the mixing was completed in ''El Pie''. Two songs on this album were re-recorded: "Blues de la libertad" and "Mariposa Pontiac", which were part of the Patricio Rey first demo, in 1982. Charly García
Charly García (born Carlos Alberto García, October 23, 1951) is an Argentine singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He formed and headlined two of the most popular bands in Argentina's rock history: Sui Generis in the 1970s and Serú Girán in the 1980s, plus cult status groups like progressive-rock act La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros and folk rock supergroup PorSuiGieco, both also in the 1970s. Since the 1980s García has worked mostly as a solo musician. His main instrument is the piano, followed by guitar and keyboards. García is also well known for his flamboyant and rebellious personality as well as his bicolor moustache, with one side white due to vitiligo. Virus is an Argentina, Argentine new wave music band founded in 1979, led by Federico Moura until his death on December 21, 1988, from AIDS-related complications. His brother Marcelo then became lead singer, until the band gave its final performance on September 29, 1990, in a support slot to David Bowie. Virus reunited in 1994 and has had some sporadic activity, without recovering its previous popularity.
