Sarah Fredrika Sjöström (; born 17 August 1993) is a Swedish competitive swimmer specialising in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events. She is the current world record holder in the 50 metre freestyle (long course), the 100 metre freestyle (long course), the 50 metre butterfly (long course), the 100 metre butterfly (long course), and the 4×50 metre medley relay (short course). She is a former world record holder in the 50 metre freestyle (short course), 100 metre freestyle (short course), 100 metre butterfly (short course), and 200 metre freestyle (short course). Victor Sjöström
Victor David Sjöström (; 20 September 1879 – 3 January 1960), also known in the United States as Victor Seastrom, was a pioneering Swedish film director, screenwriter, and actor. He began his career in Sweden, before moving to Hollywood in 1924. Sjöström worked primarily in the silent era; his best known films include ''The Phantom Carriage'' (1921), ''He Who Gets Slapped'' (1924), and '' The Wind'' (1928). Sjöström was Sweden's most prominent director in the "Golden Age of Silent Film" in Europe. Later in life, he played the leading role in Ingmar Bergman's '' Wild Strawberries'' (1957). Harri Sjöström
Harri Sjöström (born February 29, 1952 in Turku, Finland) is a saxophonist who specializes in the soprano saxophone. Life and career Harri studied saxophone with Harry Mann, Leo Wright and Steve Lacy. He also studied photography and film at the Lone Mountain College in San Francisco Art Institute from 1974 - 1978. He attended the special class for improvisation at the L.M.C. led by trombonist Johannes Mager. After leaving the U.S., Harri moved to Vienna, Austria, which became his doorway to the European improvised music scene. Harri formed his first improvising groups and organised numerous projects in Finland and elsewhere. Brought many of the most notable innovators on the international improvisation scene to Finland. Fredrik Sjöström
Fredrik Per Oscar Sjöström (; born May 6, 1983) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey winger, currently the general manager of Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Drafted by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Phoenix Coyotes in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Sjöström played over 500 regular season NHL and Stanley Cup playoff games with the Coyotes, New York Rangers, Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs. Playing career Sjöström began his career playing for Frölunda HC in the top-level Elitserien and after being drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft with the team's first pick, 11th overall. He later moved to North America to play major junior hockey for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Nell Eivor Kristina Sjöström (later ''Svensson'', then ''Ersson'', 12 March 1933 – 5 September 2021) was a Swedish sprinter. Axel Gabriel Sjöström (16 August 1794 – 11 December 1846) was a Finland, Finnish educator and poet. Biography He was born in Janakkala, and became professor of Greek Literature at the Imperial Alexander University in Helsinki in 1833. He married Margareta Sofia Helsberg in 1828. During his lifetime a few of his poems earned him a high, but short-lived, reputation in Finnish literary circles. Aside from original poetry, Sjöström also did translations from Greek (Homer, Euripides, Anacreon, Theocritus, and Johan Paulinus-Lillienstedt's ''Magnus Principatus Finlandia'') and German (Goethe and Romantic poets).
