Six Going On Seven was an indie rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. Members included Josh English (vocals/bass), James Bransford (guitar) and Will Bartlett (drums). Six Going on Sevenat Allmusic During their career they recorded three full-length albums and a handful of 7" singles. They were included on a number of compilations and had a song in the movie ''The Station Agent''. They toured with Elliott and put out a split EP with Hot Water Music. The band split in 2001 just after the release of their album ''American't (or won't)''. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". ''The Station Agent'' is a 2003 American independent psychological comedy-drama film written and directed by Tom McCarthy in his directorial debut. Elliott is an American Emo band from Louisville, Kentucky. They released three albums and several 7"s in their eight-year career, and were signed to Revelation Records. History Formation and early releases (1995–1998) The group was formed in 1995. ''False Cathedrals'' (2000) 2000's '' False Cathedrals'' was a more polished affair than its predecessor, featuring vocal harmonies and more piano than ''US Songs''. ''False Cathedrals'' is Elliott's most popular release. It was met with critical acclaim by a broad cross-section of the underground rock community. Hot Water Music is an American punk rock band formed in October 1994 and based in Gainesville, Florida. Since their formation, the group has consisted of Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard on shared lead vocals and guitars, bass guitarist Jason Black, and drummer George Rebelo.
