Sitee
''Sitee'' is a 1993 Maldivian drama film written and directed by Ahmed Nimal. Produced by Aslam Rasheed under Slam Studio in association with Kid Productions, the film stars Nimal and Fathimath Rameeza in pivotal roles. The film is based on true incidents that occurred to a friend of Ahmed Nimal. Filming was completed in one month while shooting for the songs was extended for another month. The song "Mulhi Jaan Hithaa" is shot in five different islands from five atolls. Premise Hameed (Ahmed Nimal), a fisherman, relocates to Male' hunting for jobs when his poor mother, Naseema (Arifa Ibrahim) dies. He is taken in as a servant by a reputed family where he starts an affair with their only child, Shadhiya (Fathimath Rameeza). When their affair is exposed to her father, he expels Hameed from their house where he is then accompanied by Chilhiya Moosa Manik, witnessing his honesty in a prior meeting and treats Hameed as his own child. Chilhiya Moosa Manik
Moosa Manik commonly known as Chilhiya Moosa Manik (30 January 1940 – 24 August 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and writer. Early life In 1977, while studying at Majeediyya School, Manik participated in the theatre play performed to celebrate the Golden jubilee of Majeediyya School. He then joined several other theatre performances as a hobby though his first priority lies in sketching and drawing, followed by writing. His most notable performance as a theatre artist includes his role as Viyazor; the administrative chief of the Portuguese kingdom who invaded and ruled over Maldives. His work as a theatre performer was appreciated by the government of Maldives and he was bestowed with the National Award of Recognition in 1983. Ahmed Nimal
Ahmed Nimal is a Maldivian actor, director, editor, writer and producer. Early life Prior to acting in films, Nimal worked at Maldives Meteorological Service office. His interest in films and acting grew due to the influence of his colleagues including Easa Shareef and other friends who actively take part in theatre plays. Career Nimal made his career debut with ''Nufoozu'' (1984), an initiation by Shareef and his colleagues. Initially assigned to work behind the camera, Shareef requested him to star in the lead role of the film due to a date conflict of the original actor who was offered the role first. Afterwards, he started working as a full-time actor and led an organization "Dhivehi Harakaaiy Jamiyya" along with Shareef. Easa Shareef
Easa Shareef is a Maldivian film director, actor, screen-writer, editor and lyricist. Career In 1993, Shareef collaborated with Yoosuf Rafeeu for his tragedy drama film '' Vaudhu'' (1993) which narrates the separation of a happy couple due to the societal differences. The following year, he directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film '' Zakham'' (1994) where he played the supportive brother of a young girl who has been forced to marry out of her will. In 1996, he directed the film '' Edhuvas Hingajje'' which follows the love triangle of a devoted wife, a reckless husband and his short tempered mistress.
