Sitabuldi Metro Station
Sitabuldi is a metro station in the Sitabuldi neighbourhood of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Sitabuldi serves as the interchange station allowing passengers to transfer between the Orange Line and the Aqua Line of the Nagpur Metro. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. Aqua Line services commenced on 28 January 2020. The station covers a total area of 250,000 square feet. Sitabuldi is central location of Nagpur, the Intra City bus stop is located near to metro station, while the Inter City bus stand at Ganeshpeth can be reached by autorikshaw or local bus. Design The Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation (now Mahametro) launched a global competition on 5 June 2015 inviting bids for the Sitaburdi and Zero Mile metro stations. Twenty-three architecture firms submitted designs in response. The metro authority shortlisted 13 firms for the detailed design stage, and eventually requested four firms to submit designs. Nagpur Metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It is estimated to cost . In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro Project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the Project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of project, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone on 21 August on his visit to the city. Construction on the project began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017. The Aqua Line, also known as the East-West corridor, of the Nagpur Metro is a metro route of the mass rapid transit system in Nagpur, India. It was opened on 28 January 2020. The total length of the corridor is 19.407 km. with 21 stations from Prajapati Nagar to Hingna Mount View with a total distance of 19.407 km. All stations are elevated stations and Sitaburdi station is an Interchange Station. Jhansi Rani Square Metro Station
Jhansi Rani Square is an elevated metro station on the East-West corridor of the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro in Nagpur, India. It was opened on 28 January 2020. A mural of Rani Lakshmibai was installed on the station's facade in September 2020. The mural was designed by Deepti Deshpande of Hastankit, and is made of mild steel. Zero Mile Freedom Park is a metro station on the Orange (North-South) line of the Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is named after the nearby Zero Mile Stone which was built in 1907 to mark the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India. The station was opened on 21 August 2021. The Orange Line, also known as the North–south corridor, of the Nagpur Metro is a metro route of mass rapid transit system in Nagpur, India.
