Sisu Axles, Inc. ( fi, Sisu Akselit Oy) is a producer of heavy vehicle axles in Hämeenlinna, Finland. The company's main markets are in heavy truck, terminal tractor and military vehicle axles; the driven axles are exclusively with planetary reduction. Sisu Axles was started when Suomen Autoteollisuus, later Sisu Auto, started their own axle production in Helsinki in 1940s. The production was later transferred to Hämeenlinna and sold to investors. The current owner is American Marmon Group. The company Sisu Axles is specialised on highly customised heavy vehicle axles in niché markets. The axles are designated to be used in rough conditions. The 2011 Dakar Rally was the 33rd running of the event. It was held in Argentina and Chile for the third successive time, and ran from 1 to 16 January. The Patria AMV (Armored Modular Vehicle) is an 8×8 multi-role military vehicle produced by the Finnish defence industry company Patria. The main feature of the AMV is its modular design, which allows the incorporation of different turrets, weapons, sensors, or communications systems on the same carriage. GINAF
GINAF (legally GINAF Trucks Nederland BV) is a Dutch truck manufacturer which produces trucks mainly for heavy duty off-road transport, construction and agricultural work. About 250 trucks are made each year in the company's factory in Veenendaal in the Netherlands. The company also has a service center for their trucks in the small Dutch town Ederveen. Sisu Terminal Systems Oy (STS) was a Finnish terminal tractor producer. The production began in 1969 as a part of Suomen Autoteollisuus (SAT) and the first vehicles were based on lorry components. The portfolio grew by time. The production facilities were in Hämeenlinna until the mid 1990s, when they were moved to Tampere. The company produced terminal tractors also in Texas under the name ''Magnum'' in 1987–2005. STS became a limited liability company in 1994 and was sold and restructured in 1997. Sisu E13TP
Sisu E13TP is a military terrain truck produced by the Finnish heavy vehicle producer Sisu Defence. The vehicle was introduced in 2005 and the first vehicles were delivered in 2007. E13TP is available in layouts 6×6 and 8×8. The stronger variant E15TP is with 10×10 layout. The primary military applications are hook loader, radar carrier, missile vehicle, recovery vehicle and bridging vehicle. Some civil applications are produced for oil fields and rescue purposes in particular. Development Sisu E13TP is developed for military and peacekeeping missions in particular. Sisu Polar is a truck model series produced by the Finnish heavy vehicle producer Sisu Auto. It came into the market in 2011 and the main applications are earthmovers, logging trucks, road maintenance vehicles, mobile cranes and heavy machinery hauliers which are fully equipped in the factory.
