Sisters Of The Moon
"Sisters of the Moon" is a song by British-American rock group Fleetwood Mac. It was written and sung by band-member Stevie Nicks and was released in the US as the fourth single from the 1979 album ''Tusk''. It peaked at No. 86 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The song was not released in the UK, where "Not That Funny" had been released as a single instead. The 'single version' of "Sisters of the Moon" is included on the compilation ''The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac'' and both the 2004 and 2015 remaster of 'Tusk'. "Sisters of the Moon" emerged from a jam during a session at Village Recorder in Los Angeles. Unlike Nicks' other songs on ''Tusk'', "Sisters of the Moon" was not written with anyone in mind; she found the lyrics nonsensical. Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the line-up for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist and vocalist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970, becoming known as Christine McVie. Primarily a British blues band at first, Fleetwood Mac achieved a UK number one with " Albatross", and had other hits such as the singles " Oh Well", " Man of the World", and "The Green Manalishi". Mirage Tour
The Mirage Tour in Autumn 1982 was a concert tour by British-American pop rock band Fleetwood Mac. The tour only lasting a few months. Unlike the extensive Tusk Tour, the Mirage Tour was confined to just the U.S. in 29 cities. History This would be the last tour with Lindsey Buckingham with the band until '' The Dance'' in 1997. Although Buckingham would perform on and produce the next album, ''Tango in the Night'', he did not tour and decided to leave the band. Fleetwood Mac Songs
Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the 2011 census. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. Christine Anne McVie (; née Perfect; 12 July 1943 – 30 November 2022) was an English musician and songwriter. She was best known as keyboardist and one of the vocalists of the band Fleetwood Mac. McVie was a member of several bands, notably Chicken Shack, in the mid-1960s British Blues scene. She began working with Fleetwood Mac in 1968, initially as a session player, before joining the band in 1970. Her first compositions with Fleetwood Mac appeared on their fifth album, '' Future Games''. She remained with the band through many changes of line-up, writing songs and performing lead vocals, before partially retiring in 1998. She was described as "the prime mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits". John McVie
John Graham McVie (born 26 November 1945) is a British bass guitarist. He is best known as a member of the rock bands John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers from 1964 to 1967 and Fleetwood Mac since 1967. His surname, combined with that of Mick Fleetwood, was the inspiration for the band's name. He joined Fleetwood Mac shortly after its formation by guitarist Peter Green in 1967, replacing temporary bass guitarist Bob Brunning. McVie and Fleetwood are the only two members of the group to appear on every Fleetwood Mac release, and for over fifty years have been the group's last remaining original members. Michael John Kells Fleetwood (born 24 June 1947) is a British musician, songwriter and occasional actor. He is best known as the drummer, co-founder, and leader of the rock band Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American musician and record producer, best known as the lead guitarist and male lead vocalist of the band Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018. On with the Show was a world tour by the rock group Fleetwood Mac. The tour began in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 30, 2014 and concluded in Auckland, New Zealand on November 22, 2015. Tickets were available for pre-sale between March 31 to April 6, before going on sale to the general public on April 7, 2014. At the end of 2014, the tour placed 13th on Pollstar's "Top 100 Worldwide Tours", earning $74.1 million from 40 shows in North America. In 2015's year-end report, the tour placed 6th with a gross of $125.1 million from 78 shows, bringing the total gross so far to $199.2 million.
