Sister San Sulpicio (1952 Film)
''Sister San Sulpicio'' (Spanish:''La hermana San Sulpicio'') is a 1952 Spanish comedy film directed by Luis Lucia and starring Carmen Sevilla, Jorge Mistral and Julia Caba Alba. It was the third film adaptation of Armando Palacio Valdés's 1889 novel '' Sister San Sulpicio''. Plot Gloria and Ceferino are two totally opposite people. He is a Galician doctor, serious and circumspect; she, on the other hand, is a beautiful Andalusian, rich and with an outgoing and dominant character. However, Gloria makes a surprising and unusual decision: to become a nun. By chance, she is assigned to a sanatorium of which Dr. Ceferino has been appointed as the new director. Love will arise between them, but they cannot marry because she is a nun. Luis Lucia Mingarro (24 May 1914, in Valencia – 12 March 1984, in Madrid) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. His father, Luis Lucia, was the Spanish minister of communications in 1935. He studied Law and was the attorney of CIFESA film studios. As director, he discovered child prodigies Marisol, Rocío Dúrcal and made them stars. He tried the same with Ana Belén but her film debut ''Zampo y yo'' was a flop. He was interred at Cementerio de Majadahonda, Majadahonda, Madrid, Spain. Antonio Ozores Puchol (24 August 1928, in Burjassot – 12 May 2010, in Madrid) was a Spanish actor. He was the son of actors Mariano Ozores and Luisa Puchol, brother of director Mariano Ozores (Jr.) and of actor Jose Luis Ozores, father of Emma Ozores, and uncle of actress Adriana Ozores.
