"Sister" is the debut single by Australian pop music duo, Sister2Sister, released on 4 October 1999. It reached number three in Australia, number 14 in New Zealand, number 18 on the UK Singles Chart, and number 50 in Ireland. Charts performance In Australia, the single was a huge success. It debuted on the ARIA Singles Chart at number 14, then after several weeks climbed inside the top 10; it peaked at number three on 12 December 1999. It spent a total of 20 weeks inside the top 50. In New Zealand, the single debuted on the RIANZ Singles Chart at number 14 and fell out quickly, spending eight weeks in the top 50. Two weeks after leaving the top 50, it re-entered at number 26, then fell and rose for a further five weeks before exiting for the last time, bringing its week total to 14. Sister2Sister or S2S are an Australian duo comprising the Muscat sisters, Christine and Sharon, who were pop singers, songwriters and television presenters. Their debut album, '' One'' (June 2000), peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It provided two top five singles, "Sister" (1999) and "What's a Girl to Do?" (2000). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2000 "Sister" won Best Independent Release. From 2001 they undertook a career as television presenters, as VJs on ''MTV Hits'', and subsequently opened the Sister2Sister School of Singing in 2004. Gavin Report
The ''Gavin Report'' was a San Francisco-based radio industry trade publication. The publication was founded by radio performer Bill Gavin in 1958. Its Top 40 listings were used for many years by programmers to decide content of programs. The publication was also responsible for running the Gavin Seminar, a convention for radio industry members. In February 2002, United Business Media, who had owned the Gavin Report since 1992, decided to close the publication. Gavin executives cited a lack of cooperation on the part of media conglomerates (specifically naming Clear Channel Communications and Infinity Broadcasting Infinity Broadcasting Corporation was a radio company that existed from 1972 until 2005. A&E Records is a United Kingdom-based record label imprint, owned by Warner Music Group (WMG). It operates under the WEA International group of labels at WMG. A&E Records was formalised in May 2003, when the NewsCorp Music Group of independent record labels (comprising Mushroom Records UK, Infectious Records, Ultimate Dilemma, Perfecto and 48K) were absorbed into WMG's East West after 20 months of negotiations, with all of its roster transferring over.
