Sissel Kyrkjebø
Sissel Kyrkjebø (; born 24 June 1969), also simply known as Sissel, is a Norwegian soprano. Sissel is considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos. Her musical style ranges from pop recordings and folk songs, to classical vocals and operatic arias. She sings mainly in English and Norwegian and has also sung songs in Spanish Swedish, Danish, Irish, Italian, French, Russian, Icelandic, Faroese, German, Neapolitan, Māori, Japanese and Latin. She rose to prominence in Norway in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and her cover version of Ole Paus' song "Innerst i sjelen" gained wide popularity in the 1990s. Sissel Rønbeck
Sissel Marie Rønbeck (born 24 May 1950 in Hammerfest, Finnmark) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. Biography She was Minister of Administration and Consumer Affairs 1979–1981, Minister of Environmental Affairs 1986–1989, and Minister of Transport and Communications 1996–1997. Between 1981 and 1993 she was a parliamentary representative for Oslo in the Norwegian legislature, Storting. She is currently deputy director of the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren), and a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Sissel Birgitte Breie
Sissel Birgitte Breie (born 9 September 1953) is a Norwegian diplomat. She was born in Oslo and graduated from the University of Oslo with the cand.polit. degree in 1981. She started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year, and was posted as an embassy secretary in Thailand from 1983 and at the United Nations delegation from 1986 to 1989. After being promoted to subdirector in 1997 she became Norway's ambassador to Argentina in 1999. Between 2003 and 2008 she was stationed in Norway, first as senior adviser, from 2004 as head of department and from 2006 as ambassador of West African countries. She then served abroad again, as consul-general in New York City from 2008 to 2013 and ambassador to Jordan from 2013. She is decorated as a Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. Sissel Buchholdt, née Brenne (born 17 June 1951) is a Norwegian handball player. She played for the clubs SK Freidig and Skogn IL. She played more than 180 matches on the Norway women's national handball team from 1969 to 1984. She participated at the 1971, 1973, 1975 and 1982 World Women's Handball Championships. She also competed in javelin throw at a national level. Representing the club IL Nybrott, she won a silver medal at the Norwegian championships in 1972 and a bronze medal in 1973. Sissel Lie (born 12 November 1942) is a Norwegian novelist, translator, playwright and professor in Romance languages and literature at the University of Trondheim since 1992.
