Yrjö Sirola
Yrjö Elias Sirola (born Yrjö Elias Sirén; 8 November 1876 – 18 March 1936) was a Finnish socialist politician, writer, teacher, and newspaper editor. He was prominent as an elected official in Finland, as minister of foreign affairs in the 1918 Finnish Socialist Workers' Republic, a founder of the Communist Party of Finland, and as a functionary of the Communist International. Joseph Anthony Sirola (October 7, 1929 – February 10, 2019) was an American commercial, film, television, theatre actor and theatre producer. Life and career Sirola was born in Carteret, New Jersey to Croatian parents Anton, a carpenter and Ana (née Dubrovich), who ran a boardinghouse at 363 West 19th Street in Chelsea. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1947 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Columbia University in 1951. He then worked as a sales promotion manager at the multinational personal care corporation Kimberly-Clark, at the age of 28. Sirola began his acting career in 1959, appearing as Peter Nino in the television soap opera ''The Brighter Day''. In 1960 he co-starred in a Broadway play, ''The Unsinkable Molly Brown'', Sirola co-starred in another Broadway play, ''Golden Rainbow'', in 1968. Orlando Sirola (30 April 1928 – 13 November 1995) was a male tennis player from Italy. Biography Sirola was born in Fiume, today the Croatian city of Rijeka. He only began playing tennis at the age of 22. In 1958 he won the singles title at the Bavarian Tennis Championships in Munich after a five-set victory in the final against Luis Ayala. Sirola's best result in a Grand Slam singles event was at Roland Garros in 1960, where he reached the semifinals. He also won the Roland Garros doubles title in 1959, partnering Nicola Pietrangeli.
