Siri Kalvig
Siri Margrethe Kalvig (born 6 November 1970 in Stavanger) is the founder and former managing director of the weather forecasting company Storm Weather Center, which was established in 1997. In 2014 she completed her doctorate in offshore technology at the University of Stavanger. Before that, she managed the Storm Weather Center's Stavanger office. She has also been a board member at the University of Stavanger in the period 2007 to 2009. Since 2018, she has been managing director of the state-owned company Nysnø Klimainvesteringer. Biography Kalvig was a weather forecaster on TV 2, where she started in 1992, and has since worked with weather and meteorology. She has a daily weather column on the back of the VG newspaper. She has studied physics and astrophysics at the University of Oslo, and meteorology at the Department of Geophysics at the University of Bergen (UiB). At UiB, she took a master's degree in 2005. Stavanger (, , American English, US usually , ) is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway (through conurbation with neighboring Sandnes) and the administrative center of Rogaland county. The municipality is the fourth most populous in Norway. Located on the Stavanger Peninsula in southwest Norway, Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger Cathedral was completed. ''Skal vi danse'' is the Norwegian edition of the British television series, '' Strictly Come Dancing''. It is produced by Monster Entertainment and broadcast on TV 2 Jon Peder Olrud and Geir Bie were producers in the first season. The second and third seasons were produced by Ingvild Daae. The series premiered on TV 2 on January 15, 2006. ''Skal vi danse?'' in Norwegian means "shall we dance?" and the Dancing celebrities with professional dancers and companies are reviewed by a panel of judges and the TV viewers. Each pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer and the one with the fewest votes does not participate in the next round. The series has had high ratings in Norway, with an average of between 600,000 and 700,000 viewers. The record with 733,000 viewers on average in the season premiere was reached for the first program of series 4 (12 September 2008). Only the final episodes of each series have had higher numbers. Stavanger Cathedral School ('' Norwegian: Stavanger katedralskole'') is an upper secondary school in the city of Stavanger, Rogaland county, Norway. Young Liberals of Norway ( no, Unge Venstre) (NUV) is the youth league of the Norwegian political party Venstre. Young Liberals was founded on 27 January 1909, with Anders Kirkhusmo as the first leader. The current president is Sondre Hansmark, since 2017. Gullruten ("Golden Screen") is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by ''Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening''. English Language
English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England.
