Sirens F.C.
Sirens Football Club is a professional football club from the north-western seaside village of San Pawl il-Baħar in Malta. Founded in 1968, they currently compete in the Maltese Premier League. Club history Sirens FC was first known as St Paul's Bay Football Team for the Seasons 1968/69 and participated in the Amateur Soccer Cup Competition (ASCC). In their debut season the St Paul's Bay team ended runners up that year. After obtaining such a good placing the committee applied for affiliation in the Third Division of the Malta Football Association. A delegation from the MFA visited the club, which at that time was at the same premises as the Sirens Aquatic Sports Club. At this point one has to mention Joe Muscat, known as id-Debu, who is the founder of Sirens FC. COVID-19 Pandemic In Malta
The COVID-19 pandemic in Malta is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The first case of the disease in Malta was an Italian 12-year-old girl on 7 March 2020. The girl and her family were in isolation, as required by those following the Maltese health authority's guidelines who were in Italy or other highly infected countries. Maltese Second Division
The Maltese Second Division (also known as the BOV Second Division due to sponsorship reasons) was the third-highest division in Maltese football until 2020 when it was merged with the Maltese Third Division to create the National Amateur League. Structure 13 clubs formed the league and each played every other club twice. Three points were awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. Maltese Third Division
The Maltese Third Division (also known as the BOV Third Division due to sponsorship reasons) was the lowest league level in Maltese football until 2020 when it was merged with the Maltese Second Division to create the National Amateur League. History The league was founded in 2000. Until 2011 the division comprised two sections - Section A with eleven teams and Section B with eleven teams. Both sections play two rounds with the winner in each group getting promoted to the Maltese Second Division. Attard F
Attard ( mt, Ħ'Attard) is a town in the Central Region of Malta. Together with Balzan and Lija it forms part of " the Three Villages" and has been inhabited since the Classical Period. It has a population of 12,268 as of 2021. Attard's traditional Latin motto is ''Florigera rosis halo'' ("I perfume the air with my blossoms") due to its many flower gardens and citrus orchards. Swieqi ( mt, Is-Swieqi) is a town in the Northern Region of Malta. It is a residential area just 15 minutes by bus from Sliema and within walking distance of Malta's nightlife and entertainment centres, Paceville and St. Julian's. As the town developed, residential estates took over farmland. The town's name means "water channels", a reminder of the region's past. It has an estimated population of 14,452 as of 1 January 2019.
