Sir William Wilde, 1st Baronet
Sir William Wilde, 1st Baronet (ca. 1611 – 23 November 1679) was an English judge and politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1660. Wilde was the eldest son of William Wilde, vintner of Bread Street, London. He was a student of Clifford's Inn and of Inner Temple in 1630. In 1637 he was called to the bar. He was Recorder of London from 1659 to 1668. On 27 Mar 1660 he was elected Member of Parliament for the City of London in the Convention Parliament. Sir John Robinson, 1st Baronet, of London (10 January 1615 – February 1680) was an English merchant and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1660 and 1667. He was Lord Mayor of London in 1662. Family Robinson was the son of Archdeacon William Robinson, who was half-brother of Archbishop William Laud, and nephew of Sir William Webbe, who was Lord Mayor in 1591. Career He was a city of London merchant and a member of the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers. He was one of the court assistants with the Levant Company from 1651 to 1653 and from 1655 to 1656. A baronet ( or ; abbreviated Bart or Bt) or the female equivalent, a baronetess (, , or ; abbreviation Btss), is the holder of a baronetcy, a hereditary title awarded by the British Crown. The title of baronet is mentioned as early as the 14th century, however in its current usage was created by James I of England in 1611 as a means of raising funds for the crown. John Jones (1610 – 21 May 1692) was an English merchant and politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1656 and 1679. He fought for the Parliamentary cause in the English Civil War. Jones was born in the parish of St Chad, Shrewsbury, and was educated at the Shrewsbury grammar school. He went to London in 1629 and was a member of the Worshipful Company of Grocers by 1633. In 1640 he was ranked in the third class of "able inhabitants". In 1641 he was a member of the Honourable Artillery Company. He was a militant Presbyterian and served as captain of militia for London during the English Civil War. He was a common councilman from 1645 to 1647, elder of 7th class in 1646 and commissioner for militia 1647.
