Sir William Morice, 3rd Baronet
Sir William Morice, 3rd Baronet (c. 1707 – 24 January 1750) of Werrington Park (then in Devon but now in Cornwall) was an English Tory politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1727 to 1750. Morice was the only son of Sir Nicholas Morice, 2nd Baronet and his wife Lady Catherine Herbert, the daughter of Thomas Herbert, 8th Earl of Pembroke. He was educated at Salisbury School, and matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford on 24 August 1724, aged 17. In 1726 he succeeded his father to the baronetcy and Werrington. Morice was returned unopposed as Member of Parliament (MP) for Newport at the 1727 British general election. He was sometime Recorder of Launceston and at the 1734 British general election he was returned in a contest as MP for Launceston. He contributed to the election fund raised by the Cornish Tories in 1741 and was returned unopposed for Launceston at the 1741 British general election. Hugh Percy, 1st Duke Of Northumberland
Hugh Percy, 1st Duke of Northumberland, (c. 17146 June 1786), was an English peer, landowner, and art patron. Origins He was born Hugh Smithson, the son of Lansdale Smithson (b. 1682) of Langdale and Philadelphia Revely. He was a grandson of Sir Hugh Smithson, 3rd Baronet, from whom he inherited the Smithson Baronetcy in 1733. Marriage, projects and patronages He changed his surname to ''Percy'' in 1749, nine years after his marriage with Lady Elizabeth Seymour (1716–1776), daughter of The 7th Duke of Somerset, on 16 July 1740, through a private Act of Parliament. A baronet ( or ; abbreviated Bart or Bt) or the female equivalent, a baronetess (, , or ; abbreviation Btss), is the holder of a baronetcy, a hereditary title awarded by the British Crown. The title of baronet is mentioned as early as the 14th century, however in its current usage was created by James I of England in 1611 as a means of raising funds for the crown. William Irby, 1st Baron Boston
William Irby, 1st Baron Boston (8 March 1707 – 30 March 1775) was a British peer and Member of Parliament. Life Irby was the son of Sir Edward Irby, 1st Baronet and inherited his father's baronetcy in 1718. Arthur Tremayne
Arthur Tremayne (15 May 1827 – 14 November 1905) was a Crimean War soldier and Cornish MP, who survived the charge of the Light Brigade, during which his horse was shot from under him. Personal life Arthur Tremayne, born on 15 May 1827, was the son of John Hearle Tremayne (1780–1851), MP, and his wife, Caroline Matilda Lemon, the daughter of Sir William Lemon MP, and the sister of Sir Charles Lemon MP. After Sir Charles Lemon's death on 13 February 1868, he inherited most of his wealth. He married on 22 September 1858, Lady Margaret Frances Hely-Hutchinson, second daughter of Lord Donoughmore. John King, 2nd Baron King
John King, 2nd Baron King, FRS (13 January 1706 – 10 February 1740) was an English politician. Biography King was born in London in 1706, the son of Peter King, 1st Baron King, the future Lord Chancellor. He attended Clare College at Cambridge University, and was awarded his M.A. in 1723. He was Member of Parliament for Launceston from 1727 to 1734 and for Exeter from 1734 until he succeeded to the peerage in 1735. He was made Out-ranger of Windsor Forest in 1726. He married Elizabeth, the daughter of Robert Fry, Esq., of Devon: they had no issue. King died in 1740 on a journey to Lisbon. He was succeeded by his brother Peter King, 3rd Baron King.
