Siobhan McDonald
Siobhán McDonald is an Irish visual artist and was born in New York. She holds a bachelor's degree in Art and Design from The Ulster University and a Masters in Visual Arts Practices from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology 2011. McDonald is an artist in residence in the School of Natural Sciences at Trinity College Dublin (2020-2023). She is working with The European Space Agency (ESA) and The JRC European Commission to explore ecology in light of current ecological concerns. Her works manifest in many forms including painting, drawing, film and sound. Work Siobhán McDonald's art practice draws attention to contemporary topics dealing with air, breath and atmospheric phenomena, weaving scientific knowledge into her art in a poetic and thoughtful manner. Taylor Galleries is a contemporary commercial art gallery in Dublin, Ireland. History Taylor Galleries opened in July 1978 ostensibly as a continuation of the Dawson Gallery – a gallery established by Leo Smith in 1944. John Taylor – who worked with the Dawson Gallery since 1964 – continued to run the Dawson Gallery after founder Leo Smith's death in 1977, until the gallery closed in 1978. Taylor opened Taylor Galleries in its place in the same year at 6 Dawson Street. Limerick City Gallery of Art (LCGA; ga, Gailearaí Ealaíon Chathair Luimní) is an art museum in the city of Limerick, Ireland. It is run by Limerick City Council and is located in Pery Square, in the Newtown Pery area of the city. The gallery is housed in a Romanesque Revival building which was constructed in 1906 as a Carnegie library and museum. The Limerick City Collection of Art was established in 1936; it has since taken over the Carnegie building and expanded into a purpose-built extension. RTÉ Lyric FM (stylised as RTÉ lyric fm) is an Irish classical-music and arts radio station, owned and operated by RTÉ.
