Siobhan Dunnavant
Siobhan Stolle Dunnavant is an American physician and politician serving as a member of the Senate of Virginia. She is the sister of former Delegate Chris Stolle, Virginia Beach Sheriff Ken Stolle, and Virginia Beach Commonwealth Attorney Colin Stolle. Dunnavant represents Virginia’s 12th district, covering portions of western Henrico and Hanover Counties. Early life and education Dunnavant was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Randolph College and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Virginia. It has been represented by Republican Siobhan Dunnavant since 2016, succeeding retiring fellow Republican Walter Stosch. The Senate of Virginia is the upper house of the Virginia General Assembly. The Senate is composed of 40 senators representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts. The Senate is presided over by the lieutenant governor of Virginia. Prior to the American War of Independence, the upper house of the General Assembly was represented by the Virginia Governor's Council, consisting of up to 12 executive counselors appointed by the colonial royal governor as advisers and jurists.
