Early life

Sinéad Madden was born in County Galway, but moved to County Mayo aged 6. At the age of 7 she began playing Irish traditional music, traditional fiddle. As a young adult, Madden went on to study both classical piano and violin while performing at Pub session, sessions in local pubs.

Clannad
Clannad () is an Irish band formed in 1970 in Gweedore, County Donegal by siblings Ciarán, Pól, and Moya Brennan and their twin uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan. They have adopted various musical styles throughout their history, including folk, folk rock, traditional Irish, Celtic and new-age music, often incorporating elements of smooth jazz and Gregorian chant. Initially known as ''Clann as Dobhar'', they shortened their name to Clannad in 1973 after winning the Letterkenny Folk Festival with the song "Liza". By 1979, they had released three albums and completed a successful US tour. From 1980 to 1982, they operated as a six-piece with their sister/niece Enya Brennan on additional keyboards and vocals, before she left the group to pursue a solo career. Later in 1982, Clannad gained international attention with their single "Theme from Harry's Game" which became a top-five hit in Ireland and the UK. Heart Strings (Moya Brennan Album)
''Heart Strings'' is a live album by Irish singer Moya Brennan. The album was released in September 2008, but was previously available to fans throughout Brennan's Spring 2008 tour of the Netherlands. It was recorded at her concerts on 21 October 2007 in the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, and in November 2007 in Germany. A new version featuring "Harry's Game" was released in 2009. Versions The version of the album available during Moya Brennan's Spring 2008 tour (as opposed to worldwide release) sounds different, mainly the strings being lower in volume. The front cover of the album also varies, with the placing of "Live with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra" at the bottom of the cover on the large-scale item. Finally, the track "Harry's Game" does not feature on the Spring 2008 tour item, and was added to the large distributed release. ''Two Horizons'' is the fifth solo album by Irish singer Moya Brennan. It is her first full-length release under the name ''Moya Brennan'', as opposed to ''Máire Brennan''. The album was predominantly recorded in her home studio in Dublin and was nominated for a Grammy award. The album was recorded between 2002–2003 and first became available on 23 October 2003. It is also Brennan's first non- Christian album since her 1993 recording '' Misty Eyed Adventures''. It is the most successful of her solo albums to date and the second to be Grammy-nominated.
